All my cars are already insured as my dad or brother takes me out for lessons in them. Its just the mondeo which needs to be insured. The engine is still declared as a 2.5, so if i was to insure it, it would be on the naughty, which i dont want. So that needs to be declared as the 3.0 and then insured.
I love your Sierra!! I still can't believe someone owns one at my church here in America. I have always wanted a Sierra. I can't drive yet and I don't have a car yet, but I want a Nissan 240. There are a few S13's for sale where I am at. I also want a Camaro.
Thanks and lol dunno who is Barney, but I think you're probably referring to the plush interior. It was made by the ex-owner, I probably wouldn't do that, but I have to say that I still like it. In pics it looks a bit pornoish but in nature it's quite nice. Like a poor man's fuzzed dash. (Dunno if it's the right term, but you know the way of treat the dash what is very popular with rally cars).
I've already said this before but I say it again, nice Capri you got there.
I dont know if this thread is strictly for road going vehicles, but at least they are fords.
Mk1 granada 'coke bottle' coupe and mk1 capri incase you wondered.
there are loads more that we have raced over the years, including a rare little v4 engined front wheel drive ford taunus from the early 70's that we brought back from belgium, but due to my pc crash last month i am forced to trawl through racing photo albums in hope that some older galleries are still up so i can get them back again.
Here's my 1994 Ford Ranger XLT has around 380k miles on it... Still runs perfectly fine. The only thing(major) that we had to change so far was the front differential for the 4x4, and that's basically it...
I had the choice between this truck or my sister's old ford probe, that probe was a blast to drive, but it was automatic and I wanted a manual, which this truck is.
I sure hope those wasnt in good condition when you started
Nah but, still looking good, what are you driving them in? Looks like Destruction Derby cars
Nice!
I would have also gone for truck tbh, it's more like something for a man!
Barryboys is a good site to see some really messed up stuff! Even though i said earlier "it only matters what the owner thinks", one of my pet hates is when people fit bodykits to there car (in all the glorious fibreglass white) and drive around with it, bright white, against a red car for example. I mean wth? I can understand doing a test to make sure it fits ok, but why not keep the stock bumpers on until you can afford to get the bumpers/car sprayed to match?
Understand the "slowmooooo" part, just can't understand the "No"
Could it be, gasp, the fact that it's an SUV? A small one at that with a curb weight of 3400 pounds compared to your 2900 pound Merkur? Gasp, it's soooooo heavy! I average about 22 mpg and the Merkur specs at a combined 24 mpg.... Hmmm . I can easily get my 2 kids in and out of it, or actually they can easily climb in and out of it as opposed to wiggling into the back seat of the Merkur (or equivalent). I know when I was only 9 years old, I wasn't too pleased at wiggling into the back seat of a 2 door with my knees squished up against the driver's seat.
Perhaps it's because of the increased visibility of sitting up higher in a "truck"? I guess that wouldn't make sense either to you guys. Maybe the fact that I get 24 inch snowstorms several times each winter with having snow on the roads at least 50% of the time through the winter that makes it laughable to have an AWD SUV? Just this past winter I was quite glad to have it driving to work when I never saw the road surface for 5 weeks straight because of the snow and ice. My much more "reasonable" car wasn't going anywhere during that period.
Or was it the Mazda=Ford thing? I'm just trying to figure out what spurred the comment, not what the comment meant (the slowmo part is quite understandable, just why the "no") You are aware that Ford does = Mazda, right? After all, my Mazda Tribute is nothing more than a Ford Escape with a different front grill and rear hatch cosmetic design.
Just trying to understand the logic of the post, that's all.
Don't try to analyze my rather pointless post too much.
I don't care about MPG or other things what are so called reasonable things to select your car. My driving style with that slightly tuned engine means very poor MPG but I don't care really. Ok well yes I care, cause I don't have loads of money, but I think it's worth the fun.
And please don't call it Merkur. It makes me sad.And it's more like ~2336 Pounds (~1060 kg). Difference between 3400 and 2336 pounds make a huge difference for performance & handling, that's what matters for me. My car doesn't have anything so called luxury, because I don't care about them. It doesn't even have a radio or electric windows. I have been thinking about stripping the interior a bit (but still keep the backseat).
I just hate modern cars, SUVs maybe a bit more than sedans etc. but I just hate them. It's matter of taste.
+ Having a 4WD doesn't really matter for me during winters, because I have proper stud tires under my car thru the whole winter.
I believe that your car servers nicely in the purpose for what you have it.
I was just joking because you contributed to Ford thread with "SUV" Mazda.
I like the RS kit on the red mondeo. Glad to hear you still got the cabby. You get your RST wheels done like mine? Diamond cut on the wheel, black on the inside of the spokes. It looks nice
