hello,
i installed ubuntu today aaand the program WINE too to run the games and other stuff
is there a way to fix that ? only the graphics to be normal... the other things dont mater like the shadows

51hz? if you're not playing it on a tv, i'd say you didn't make an xorg.conf and used the auto configured settings that xorg magically decided on...

that would explain the odd choices for resolutions too... 960x540?? lol.
mmm.. on my windows is on max
has nothing to do with that... xorg tells wine what resolutions are available and wine in turn tells lfs the same info... if you didn't tell xorg what to do, then it picks these random and stupid arbitrary values.

hmm, even with a proper one, it seems to throw some stupid values in there...

anywho, you need something like this, but for your machine.

Another thing you can try is to create a virtual desktop in winecfg (Display tab, tick Enable virtual desktop emulation and set appropirate resolution). Wine and all programs running through it will use your desktop refresh rate, even the available resolutions might be better...
y config it to mine resolution 1280 x 1024 but the hz are the same .. ( 51Hz )
