Hello Racers,

Lightning Racing is proud to present: LR Race Center. It´s a licence based server where you have to gain points to drive in the upper
car classes.

We have on server 1 a multiclass server which contains STD (XFG+XRG) and TBO (RB4+FXO+XRT) and for the future the VWS.
And then we have server 2 with NGT (XFR+UFR) GT2 and GTR (XRR+FXR+FZR).

We are running the new Airio 2.1.9 and a long list of well chosen tracks for both servers (each race lasts about 12-15 minutes). Every 10 races, the track will be changed.

We hope to bring back the CTRA feeling with this licence system.

Servers:
LR Race Center 1 (STD+TBO)
LR Race Center 2 (Race Cars)

Small licence overview:

Rookie - 0 - STD
Amateur - 200 - VWS
Advanced - 800 - TBO
Professional - 1500 - NGT
Expert - 2500 - GT2
Veteran - 5000 - GTR
Legend - 10000 - Prestige Rank

For the future we plan to make a small webinterface to look up licences and providing userbars to show here in LFSForum.

Very nice! Good to see someone trying to fill the gap after CTRA.

Can you tell us some more about how licence progress is achieved? (Points system and so on)

Normal GP system with bonus points

Good luck with it guys, personally I would suggest that if you have long races, then you need to shorten the rotate rate, just IMO

i think it would be better for people to start out in UF1 IMO.
but anyway i will try the server sometime and see what its like.

Well, I think the rotate rate is just fine along with the race lenght, this way feels "solid", but that's my opinion...

its because we first want to see how is the response, and if we have a solid driver stack everytime we can think about running 2 additional servers with formula cars

Working for FXO/XFR now...

glad to see you on track again

some changes were made yesterday and today:

- races shortened from about 12 to 10 minutes
- switched on the bad word filter
- updates airio with a bugfix
- updates server from Z3 to Z10
- several config failures fixed

if you find a bug, just PM me

currently our programming guru is making a webinterface to look up licences and several statistics. userbars will be made as well

Simply... "WOW" ...what a day in your exciting environment.
I´ve met lots of fast and clean racers. It just felt excatly like CTRA-Race1, but without those T1-razzle-dazzle.
99% of the drivers involved knew excatly whats going arround. Raced a few dozen of corners side by side with some of you. Thx alot !

..looking forward for some more races with those "lame" STD-cars!

Managed a new (still crappy) pb on BL1/XFG after > 450 laps, thx for the pressure.

yeah
this server was awesome today though i did bump a few people.... still very competitive and was a pleasure to race with all those people on that grid

some updates:

- several server updates and new airio version with less spam
- added layouts to make it hard for wreckers
- removed FE5 from rotation and replaced by FE3R

the homepage is still under construction and we think at early may we release it with userbars

next update:

- more tracks used
- trackrotation is now every 8 races
- restartvote deactivated
