I've got a mouse (Microsoft Arc Mouse) hooked up to my laptop (NC10 with both the synaptics and microsoft intellipoint drivers installed) and whenever I try to scroll for the first time nothing happens on the first "notch". It takes to the second notch before the web-page starts to move then it's fine.

If i leave it for a few seconds the same thing kicks in again.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Mostly driver issues. Hooked up my g5 on the lappy once with synaptics driver and logitech setpoint drivers and your issues started to arise. Didn't know what was happening until I un-installled the logitech drivers and problem was gone. Maybe try that to see if it works

I need to use the Microsoft drivers to make the side button work at a CTRL + W shortcut, though.
