Image low and to the left?
I recently had an issue with one of my monitors displaying its image low and to the left and too small. That's mysteriously fixed itself, but I went to play LFS today and now LFS is being displays low and to the left as well. LFS is running the same resolution and refresh rate as the monitor. Any idea what's going on?
did you try "auto image adjustment" button should be somewhere on the monitor.
Yup, puts it right back where it is. =/

I had this issue with RBR (well, similar issue) for a time until I realized that it wasn't running the same resolution as the monitor, but LFS is running the same rez.
is it changing the refresh rate or amount of colours?
Both LFS and windows are set to 1440x900, 32 bit, 75 Hz.
Yeah I was about to suggest trying a different refresh rate or colour bit mode.

I know that it may be the same but just try other modes in LFS.
Tried both 16 bit and 32 bit modes, as well as different resolutions. Any change of resolution in LFS results in an 'input not supported' error from my monitor; even for resolutions that work on the desktop.
I can't come up with any solution to this..
I've got similiar problem. I've got asus 22'' 16:10 monitor and it does same thing as yours but on 1360x850 is fine for me. and 1680x1050 but for my comp it's too much.

Do you have AntiAliasing enabled in LFS? If yes, turn it off in LFS and then turn it in NVidia/ATI Control Panel. It will give you MASSIVE FPS boost, so you will be able to run 1680x1050
picture in picture function of your monitor maybe?
