it might be known to a few people but i just discoverd it.
When you make a wallpaper with a resolution of 512X384 is way too small(you'll end up with this)

But when you use the image as a background and select the option centred instead of spread you get a clear image! and if you select the background color to white you shall get something like this

succes!!

But the car itself still remains at the same size.
I think that most of the guys around already knew what you said.

BigRender Says its got a limited res but i dont think that'll matter for me and you anyway as im sure its much higher then we'll ever need.

It's just an illusion...

You could try to render the scene in pieces using the blowup command. There is a dropdown menu up there in MAX (default is View).
