Scrambled text
Hi,

A while ago I had problems with my internet while playing online. Long story short, I lost connection so I reset the game. When I reset it, the text appeared all jumbled up. I tried reinstalling the game, but it didn't fix anything.

I don't believe it's my graphics card, as it was fine two minutes prior to the crash, everything ran smooth.

The actual game (on track) also has no problems (i.e no problems with the car or track rendering).

Here's a screenshot

Thanks for any help you may have.
Ah damn I've seen similar things before (had them happen to me even) but can't remember the solution. Searching for white text may help.
-Doh-

Didn't read, uhm try the latest drivers for luck?
I think you have abc.lfs or abc.abc or lfs.abc (forgot its goddamn name lol) from patch Z on version Z10 or vice-verse, or that file is ****ed up.
could it be the text LOD setting is on min/max. I've fiddled around with that before and it makes text go unfocused and fuzzy.
just an idea

what's with all the bad language?

This is like the damn artifacting seen when a GFX is on it's last leg's is it not ?
A simple restart did the trick, thanks for your help anyways.
Just for the record, that is a problem with your graphics card reading the DDS format properly, for some strange reason it will scramble text.

On my old computer I had DDS support turned off by default in my ATI driver profile, every time I ran the game it would do that, I would have to set it to support DDS and then restart my computer a fue times before it would work.

I don't know if LFS uses DDS files for the text, I doubt it, but it appears to have some effect anyway.
