all the gameplay footage seen so far doesn't show much promise with the physics, it looks mechanical, although the grip limit does seem to be much more realistic now.
so what golf GTI will be in the game?
if it's the golf V I couldn't be arsed, but if they got a lot of old cars too, THAT would be nice.
As in, the closest thing to Gran Turismo for PC
I think Autosculpt MIGHT be back. In some of the old screenshots, the tuned 911 has the same sculptable (if that is a real word, lol.) wide-body-kit. And the GT-R one looks like it has the 'stock autoscuplt' version, where you can create lips for stock parts.
So what SMS are doing is taking ProStreet, and polishing it up. Why can't they call it ProStreet 2?
EDIT: Wait, the Nismo version hasn't got a front lip like that!
Cool stuff. That was the 360 version. There was also a Zonda one for the PS3. Before any console wars start, THEY LOOK THE SAME. But I have found pros and Cons:
Pros:
It has a more stable framerate than Undercover, and it is still in the Beta stage!
The environments are well modelled
Engine sounds!
... so are the cars
Inteligent AI (very ProStreet like too)
And the driver has a reaction (breathing) to crashes....
Cons:
.... which could get annoying after a while.
Sparks are very Burnout 3-like (aka Cartoony)
And the understeer problem has returned from ProStreet.
Damage is only cosmetic
The guy in the Cayman can't drive
Red and white barriers... oh wait, that is a LFS problem. nvm.
Well I'm guessing that would encourage more people to use the brake button. I'm guessing that will a problem online when someone rams you while your in first at the last corner, which ruins your race.
Looks like SMS are keeping most of the info under the hood. But seriously, 1,000 vinyl Layers?! I won't be suprised if no-lifers create real racing car reps!
seems to be all there is. All these three are from the same event but different footage. Those jeuxvideo.fr vids posted here earlier (and since removed) include exactly same footage than these two.
Same track as in ProStreet. For some reason after looking at these pics, it doesn't seem right... It seems to be a really strange mix of NFS>GTR2-ish. Dunno, hard to explain, I just don't really like how everything goes
That is a fantasy track from ProStreet - Tokyo Dockyard - Shimbashi but driving backwards from the ProStreet version. Here's a video from ProSteet, with it's hyper-peformance Zonda as opposed to the more realistic Porsches in the youtube video, the circle with minus is because I'm driving the track backwards:
That's Brands Hatch. Since 25 ex-GTR employees are now part of the shift team, a video of Brand Hatch from GTR Evolution, Formula 3000 race car: http://jeffareid.net/gte/gtebhf3k.wmv
Over/understeer are present, yeah. But looking at those videos of the Zonda, when the back breaks out, it takes a second, and he can just full trottle again
If you mean the turn angle is to small I dont think its unrealistic. just in sport cars are small wheels and small angle to make turning easier, cars are more responsive thx to it.
