Phone + Washing Machine
I managed to leave my phone in my trouser pocket, and the trousers (complete with phone) ended up in the washing machine. Does anyone have any way of making this bloody phone work again?

Thanks guys
Take it completely appart, and let it (all parts seperately) dry for 4-5 days on a warm place to make sure every component is DAMN dry. Then cross your fingers and try starting it. Have helped me, but chances are slim it will survive
take it apart as much as possible then dry with a hairdryer. try a new battery also. i put an old nokia in the washing machine then just replaced the battery and it worked
Two phones died like that here
I thought you had to put in water with something in it, and don't let it dry yet. If you do you'll most likely **** it up, unless you have Nokia 3310 or something like that.

I have heared something similar, but do not remember it tho
HMm, if I wasn't on my way out the door now I would taken a search.
Fail , it sucks i know , my ipod has had several trips to california
go with it to a gsm store, maybe they can repair it, or restore the data from it
If you have a lamp or lightbulb that gets really hot, put it with your phone (in as many pieces as you can) somewhere safe and non-flammable. You may get lucky.

First thing is make sure you take the battery out, if you leave the battery in when it gets wet that can short circuit everything, secondly put it in a bowl of rice for a few days.
Bowl of rice in the sun

Best advice so far, the rice will draw the moisture out of the phone, or should do anyway. A warm place isnt a bad idea either, but not too warm, as this can cause condensation, which isnt always good.
LOL I bought a new LG Cookie about 6 weeks ago and dropped it in the toilet 3 weeks later when i was a little drunk . Took it apart left it in bits in airing cupboard until yesterday and thought i would see if it works. To my surprise it is now fully working but i am going to get a new battery for it cause i dont think its holding charge very well.

All in all though very surprised it works again and happy that i dont need to buy a new one .
Yes on the water thing. Rinse it with distilled water, that way no minerals and soap will dry on the electronics. If already dried, rinsing it may remove them. Then allow it to dry completely. Do not turn on until you do this. If you already turned it on, it may be broken...
