I don't like the sound of inline 4s with massive exhausts. If you're running a V6 or V8, fair enough, enhance the sound. But I4s just sound nasty when they're that loud. And small cars with massive exhausts look ridiculous.
Also, isn't a loud muffler sort of defeating the purpose?
So you have a straight exhaust?
Isn't that acutally bad as you don't have any counterpressure? Mine only has it's catalysator and enddamper removed and it sounds pretty cool.
The extractors have enough backpressure to keep pulling the air out, but then it opens up straight after into a 3"
It still has backpressure. It might be less, but it still has to be better than the restrictive dodgey piece of crap that the previous owner had put on it.
Frankly, making excuse's like that is pathetic. And having something like an evo beat you is humiliating for such a car as yours, as evo's have no torque when off boost, unlike the car your in on the video. Evo was also shifting better and was pulling away at a fairly decent pace for such a car.
Face it, an evo raped your ass, then handed it back to you.
Not my car, but i have this exact same system which sounds pretty much identical to this.
I would put a vid up of my car but being surrounded by houses and other flats, i doubt the neighbours would appreciate an already noisy car being revved repeatedly!
And my car is a 12a N\A, wouldn't even stand a chance against an evo.
You know absolutely nothing, Rotaries have ZERO torque at low rev's, They're notorious for it!
The evo was giving it all, and it was on full boost the whole time.
The car i was filming in was an R32, GTS-T with RB20det and a Rb25 turbo
The fact that a R32 with 3 people in the car kept up with an Evo is a fairly good feat, even if it was a roll-on.
Also, how can you tell the evo shifted better? **** me, you're as bad as the idiots on youtube.
First of all, i was'nt talking about the shitty RX7 you posted. Im talking about the evo.
Your still using having people in your car an excuse. Pathetic.
And i can tell the evo is shifting faster, because you can hear it. The guy driving the skyline shifts like someone with a elephant foot.
Funny thing is, my old beater Altima, the muffler separated from the pipe and now sounds just like that. Could have saved yourself a bunch of money. My Altima sounds just as crappy as that video.
Best thing to do to a small engine is, keep a good quiet exhaust on it. They sound like garbage if not, just as both videos posted do. Same crap sound as my Altima with the separated muffler, and just as much performance boost also, which is none....
rotarys are quieter then most any other car ive had or heard in my life ( unless your driving the beans out of it. As you do every day. )
FD single turbo engine in a Good - never welded FC shell is your best friend.
the evo didn't sound as though it was running to well. thats just my ears - Speak up im blind.
KING OF ZEEE CHAVS BRAP BRAP innit innit ... Lol.
rotary is useless at low rpm we all know that, but Whats the rolling speed ?
skyline doesn't have a hope in hell, the evo has a traction and weight advantage
Lancer is a stupidly easy car to drive... Trust me, from 1.3 right upto evos... they've a nice clutch in them.
yes i wouldn't pish on his rx-7 if it was on fire and jessica alba was trapped inside.
Street racing is naughty.
eh... 3 by 250... Lol.
and yes you Could cherp him BUT and heres the kicker... the skyline just couldn't, if you cant get it right first time - dont bother again.
the skylines a straight six turbo, the evos a inline 4 turbo.. skyline is heavier, but still, the torque should of given you an advantage ( if the evo missed a shift you'd win straight out )
But it sadly didn't happen.
your 110 % correct.
best thing to do is make it as light as possible so your handling is great, shorten the gears and get a better engine ( no replacement for displacement ) and take cars when they corner.... like ALL f*cking drivers do on a track... or if d/r same rules apply, with even shorter gears.
