go karting training weeks?
hi, i love karting and racing, but for various reasons (including cost) i can't do it very often. my 16th is coming up and my mum said i can have a big present, and suggested maybe looking into a weeks karting training camp. does anyone know of anywhere in or around london that offers such a thing?

thanks, Oli
I've searched for those things quite a while but I never found them.

Yes there is. Far away from London. Most of the time only a few days ( 2-3 ) and almost always Indoors.

Check out this place. Give them a call if you want help on what you've said. Great bunch down there and always willing to help where they can....

Have had some brilliant endurance races down there. It's in Kent and about 40 mins from London, depending where you are in London

Hope that helps

thanks. do you know if they do anything before i phone them? unfortunately i'll be 16, which seems to be the upper age limit of all these thing, and obviously i don't really wanna be racing 13 year olds etc, as i want better competition. i will give them a ring but if you know of anything before hand please let me know

Lol, age doesn't mean anything. Look at the karters who are 10yrs old and racing for championships. But ofcourse if it's a training program, it will be full of novices lol.
Why not spend the money on buying a real kart of eBay and going to have a play? then when your done sell it. Cost is dependant on how much you sell it for

lol I know 8 year old that's would DESTROY a lot of half decent drivers in karts of similar speeds so not sure where u get that idea from
how much would a go kart be? also i don't have a garage...or a car...or a trailer...

I'm not sure to be honest. I've always just gone down there to take part in the 3 or 6hr endurance races they have........

they do have a younger school but I think they do older too..... they will be able to help loads though.

My thought would be to go along and try it somewhere first before forking out the cash for your own Kart
u can pick up karts from anywhere from 500 GBP upwards , but if your looking at a new kart then be expected to bring out the bank , im currently selling mine * plug* and thats for 3000 Euros .

depending on quality and quantity , again engine types / chassy / all changes the price
