Gearing??
I have been having some problems when using auto gears.....

I get this problem mid-corner, where the car will hold itself in gear, but on the redline and will not shift itself up until i am either travelling in a straight line, or i make it shift by doing it myself, which im not good at mid corner.

I also get problems on the startline, i sit in 1st, clutch pressed, throttle down, the lights go green, i release the clutch the autogears drop the car into 2nd gear and the revs kill themselves. Then it will usually choose 1st and go again as normal, but by then everyone has either beaten me off the start or overtaken me.

Is there a specific cause for this, such as gear ratios, differential settings, etc???
The first problem could be caused by the fact that you arn't at full throttle full corner. Unless it still doesn't shift at full throttle, then I don't know.

The second problem is probably caused by the fact that you are spinning the wheels in auto mode, in auto mode as far as I know, the gear will change at the shift point as long as the engine is accelerating, even if the car isn't.
the corner problem, you are not accelerating just holding a speed, the start problem you are doing full throttle and if you are at the rev-limiter then it is going to shift no matter what...you say clutch, so i am guessing you either like me have the g25, or a very expensive other set. set it to manual, you get all the control you could ever want

In fact, this is probably the cause of both problems. The auto box won't shift when the engine is on the limiter and the wheels are spinning. While accelerating round a corner - particularly in a fwd with soft suspension and a soft diff - the inside wheel is spinning, so as before, it won't shift.
