Microphone Problem
alright guys, my problem is ill start my pc with my wheel unplugged and microphone plugged in [usb] and it works fine in skype and teamspeak ect. but the minute i plug my wheel in my mic goes all static like and noone can hear peep from me. Anyone have an suggestions as to the cause of this problem?
I guess you could move the mic's USB cable to a USB port that is as far away as possible. Maybe?

Are you by any chance using a USB hub? If so you could try and unplug it to see if it makes any difference. If not try what Passo says Good luck!
not using a usb hub, i have tried front usb ports and rear ones but to no luck

That's a very weird problem indeed then.

What operating system are you using? Are you having trouble with TS, Skype or Both?
using XP, mic works fine in ts and skype until i plug my wheel in then it goes wack.
This is very similar to a problem i have with my microphone.

Well i have a G25 & a logitech attack3 joystick plugged in all the time, but it also will do this when there not installed!!

If im on TS only,i can be heard!!.

But if im on lfs & driving i cant be heard on TS through my mic ,BUT if i stop driving & spec,i can

Plus+++for some weird reason when i have a conversation on MSN messanger & have LFS running,my car can be heard by the person im chatting with @ the time, but if i try an chat with them...Nothing???

Now i have a logitech 5.1 sound system that takes up all three sound jacks on the back of my com,but i still have two on front for the mic & another speaker\headphone jack.(still i have same prob)

I am using the Realtech AC97 Audio drivers ver 5.36,Cant seem to find any updated drivers, looks like that its the only ver

Dam computers, good thing i didnt spend much on the mic(mind you it not a Al-cheapO)but still to me it was not much...

(well i really would love to get this working, but i guess you guys dont want to hear my ugly voice ranting & spamming anytime soon F***!)
@ blacknight, its odd that they can hear you when you spec in LFS. Maybe LFS is hogging all your CPU when your driving?

@ Liam. What are your PC specs, namely the PSU. It sounds as if you could be maxing out your PSU.
