Well, I have had BF: BC for like a month now and ITS FRIGGIN AWESOME, online has only two options: gold rush, wich is basically either defending or trying to destroy gold crates (depending on team) and conquest wich is like most of the other battlefield's online gaming: kill the other team's players until the opposite team reaches zero tickets. BF: BC has better story than any other battlefield at the moment in my opinion(BF1942 you just follow a campaign of battles, Vietnam about the same, BF2 is about the same too and in BF2142 or BF: Heroes or BF1943 there is no story). BF:BC doesnt have such a serious story like CoD-s have. Bad Company's story humorish in its own way. You can practically destroy everything in Bad Company 1 and in Bad Company 2, I hope its possible to destroy even more things. Well, downs for BF: BC is that when u want to destroy a building, you can only destroy outer walls and roofs and that sucks. Inner walls are like indestructible, but about everything else can be destroyed. Buildings cant collapse in BF: BC :/ It's kinda unreal, that when you drive into a wall, for example with a tank, the wall just explodes, but doesnt like fall apart. To the ups again now. There are many weapons in Bad Company: you can have shotguns, hand-guns, snipers, sub-machineguns, machineguns, a knife and you can have laser designator that looks like regular binoculars and a kinda iPod looking remote kinda a thingy wich u can use to call in an artillery strike. You can go to an artillery cannon or however you call it and "enter" it. You then have like a sattelite view of the map and you can start shooting artillery strikes. It reloads quite quickly. There are many vehicles in BF:BC, starting with tanks and APCs ending with armored humvees and even a golf cart. When you are online, you have ranks and with each rank you can choose a new unlock, kind of like in BF2142 and there are even some weapons that you can have only when you buy like a Bad Company Gold version or something. I don't think that it's a lot of walking in Bad Company. I'd say its a lot of walking in BF2142 on maps like Highway Tampa (wich is like HUGE), when you dont have a vehicle. A "bit" of walking has always been in Battlefield series. As it was said before: "It's tactical". BF:BC looks and feels good, I don't care what others think.
If you are looking for action-packed game with some humor with it, you should definately buy/rent BF: BC. I reccomend it, BUT if you want to get a more serious Bad Company, wait for Bad Company 2.
