The cars on GT5p feel too stiff. They were more wobbly in GT4 I'm sure. GT4 I think was more enjoyable. But I'm probably thinking that because it was just a better game (more tracks, cars, everything)
ahh more " pick on him, shes not a sheep, he's a Baaaaaaaaahstard ( see what i done their ?? i have to explain every single thing since nobody understands me so... yeah moving on )" comments:
A deep breathe and here i go...
G!Nho, for the last time - what we had was a once off, what can i say ?? i was bored, you are ( and still are ) queer, i thought the restraining order doesn't allow you to contact me through any medium ?? ( Yes the internet is a form of communication. i will spell everything out till you get some cop-on. )
must you continue to purposely take everything the wrong way and do everything to try and get me annoyed ill 4chan your pictures again.
My comments where neither negative or attacking, Constructive and informative if anything. Yes i have given people a stern talking to But their well justified statements. Both/all game physics suck, to a certain extent. We have the technology to make games more realistic but when you immerse yourself in the practical side of things you quickly realize its not financially viable to do such a thing. For example, you try code weather effects, Full suspension ( yeah, springs, coils, wishbones, the Whole 9 yards ) in Good detail with wear effects, damage and such, its a Very difficult task. ( see, more spelling things out ).
im not reacting in that post, just giving my humble opinion - some might say its a bit too humble but i hold no punches, That's just me.
i remind you of nobody you know because i am like nobody you know, i don't mean to toot my own horn ( though i can physically do it, that's not the point... Get it , Toot... my horn... Ahhh dirty innuendo... but i digress ) i am my own person, theirishnoob, a name that just screams " i must use every cheap pun to annoy him, he's making things too easy... Attack! "
yeah you can, their both foods. LFS and GT5 are both driving sims. Astroboy 0 - Tin 1
Theirs this thing called real life... now i know, its a Strange new invention that Internet users aren't keen on, but take my word for it, live it and you Might ( yes Just might ) learn something.
now is that all the people who wish to seek my attention or is their more ??
please don't pm me email or anything, ask and you have my permission, otherwise, please, Gtfo.
On Topic: GT5 is just eye candy personally.... and far FAR too many cars to be honest.... I've never completed GT4 and I have tried, but it just became to repetitive after 3 weeks of solid gameplay ...
I agree. I think it feels very good with my Fanatec. The cars react and behave how I would expect them too. Most people on here seem determined to put it down as arcadey trash but it doesn't feel bad at all as sims go. How someone could say it feels like a poorer rfactor mod I just cannot understand. Talking from buttcheeks it seems. I am certain that GT5 will be hugely better than GT5p aswell. I look forward to it! Getting myself a Rennsport wheel stand so that I can set my wheel up infront of my telly, just for GT5.
Wait........a second tier Rfactor mod is still MUCH better than arcady trash. They way I rate GT5, it has a lot of things done right, but in the really fine area of tire modelling and handling you can see some unnatural behavior, and those does stand out very clearly. Like the power oversteer characteristic is so obviously flawed it is very borderline realistic, however the behavior before that are very good.
It's hardly "putting it down" when I say it feels like second tier Rfactor mod, because lets face it the quality there isn't very consistent and only a handful of mods I would deem as being first tier. (Corvette, Caterham, PPC for that matter) If you put GT5's physics in Rfactorcentral it would still be given a 3.5/4 star rating in the physics department, I mean it's not bad.
Well no not really because everything you say, as is the same for what I said, is just a matter of opinion really. It also depends what you define as a second tier rfactor mod. I never said a 2nd tier rfactor mod was arcadey trash, I was just commenting on the fact that that is how a lot of people label GT5 as, even though it hasn't been released yet. GT5p physics in my opinion feel a lot better and more realistic than one of the poorer rfactor mods. There are only a few rfactor mods where the physics are outstanding, like the HistorX mod, but none of these cars were in GT5p as far as I know, so you cannot compare them. GT5p feels so different to rfactor that I don't think you can really compare them at all. In my opinion, I probably like the way GT5p feels a little bit more because there is less of the feeling of no return when you begin to slide like in rfactor. It's more like LFS in that aspect of handling. I just feel that people automatically assume that something is going to be rubbish without really giving it a blind bit of notice. No matter what people say, GT5p was only a fraction of what GT5 will be, so I really don't think it is fair to judge how GT5 will be purely on how GT5p was. Even if the cars feel exactly the same, although I will be slightly disappointed because it could do with a little bit of improvement, I will still be perfectly happy with it because I think that it feels good. On a PS3 controller it feels cack, I'll admit, but when I used my 911 Turbo wheel with it I thought it felt damn good to be honest. Proper damage modelling will improve things further and might make people be a bit more careful online, and with private racing rooms it will be even better. WRC and Nascar added to it which will attract a wider audience. I think GT5 will be a big success. It is a console racer, so it may not be "the greatest sim-racing phenomenon ever!!!" but I think it will blast any competition away, including FM3. Of course other people will have different opinions, but I am not talking a load of balls, I did give GT5p a good go instead of assuming it will be pants, and I was pleasantly surprised. Aslong as you use a good wheel and not a gamepad, it feels very good.
Well turn the traction control off, put it on professional physics, turn all aids off. I find that then in any car above say, 260bhp will happily begin to drift. Try uhh, Fuji Raceway? Try that in the Ford GT race car...
Personally all the "critiquing" is getting weary-some.. just enjoy what is a very nice looking game with a huuge choice of cars and tracks, pretty decent sounds and a more than acceptable physics engine.
