Timing out (BLANK : OVERFLOW) and poor performance
Hello,

Over the last week i have been timing out an awful lot, an most of the time i usually leave with the text BLANK : OVERFLOW. I am not very computer wise so i have no idea what causes it and how much is down to LFS or my computer.

I have also been experiencing poor performance, such as a slightly lower fps (although it hasn't been too bad) and more fps drops. These drops are like every 5-10 seconds and although they are small they are very annoying. They also seem to occur when text appears, which causes a small fps lag.

Note: I did use the search button to search for Blank : overflow and time out, but the search filter removes the word out, so the results shows all the threads that contain the word time.

Anyone more on either of these problems?

Josh.
Time outs: poor network, wich i guess it's not your case.
The blank overflow message apears to me when my pc freezes. After it recovers from the drop, i lose connection to host and the blank overflow message appears.
Here's what I do: Every time turn on my PC, i open task manager, go to processes and search for Explorer.exe; Right click on it, End Process Tree; After that, go to Applications, hit "New Task" and type "explorer.exe". After I do this, my PC doesn't freeze so often (still does sometimes, it's crappy)
Should work better now :P
Thanks, i will give that a go tomorrow and see if it helps.
Sounds like you have network/internet issues. You will experience a drop in FPS if your network is suffering. I used to have less FPS when my internet got sketchy to when I saw the lag bars go up high.

Could be numerous things causing this network issue. But you need to completely get that looked into.
Could be:
Network card,
Network cable,
Modem/router
Water in the walls/ground affecting the phone line...
ISP problems
Windows issue
List is massive. Try some www.speedtest.net tests at least.

Just a note about this however.

The BLANK OVERFLOW is because your PC has issues and crashes. I don't think this solution is what he needs.

Well, that's what I said in my post
And those issues might be caused by Windows issues, wich can be related to some unwanted processes, wich can be closed by ending explorer.exe's process tree.
You were 100% right in the post, but it's not necessary to put me to the wall.

Oh, and i think this was my last post over here, because people feel superior, and just like to flame.
I was being friendly, sorry if it offened you, that was not my intention. I wasn't at all tring to flame you. Maybe you just read me wrong. =(

This line actually confused me since I thought he had a network issue.
