I had this crazy idea that I'm gonna start up this UF1 league.
[Everything is not readdy so I will update as I get things sorted out]
There will be 6 race, with a 5 laps minime race before the future race of 30 laps reversed grid.
There will be a brake of 14 days between each race day!
(All race have a minime race of 5 laps and a future race reversed grid of 30 laps)
Qual will be over 15 mins.

Combo's:
//2009 - AS4 - UF1000 with 40% restriktion - 5 Laps - 30 Laps Rev grid
//2009 - WE1 -UF1000 with 40% restriktion - 5 Laps - 30 Laps Rev grid
//2009 - KY1r - UF1000 with 40% restriktion - 5 Laps - 30 Laps Rev grid
//2009 - AS2r - UF1000 with 40% restriktion - 5 Laps - 30 Laps Rev grid
//2009 - KY3r - UF1000 with 40% restriktion - 5 Laps - 30 Laps Rev grid
//2009 - AS7 - UF1000 with 40% restriktion - 5 Laps - 30 Laps Rev grid

Points:
There will be given points to top 15:
1st : 20 Points
2nd : 18 Points
3rd : 16 Points
4th : 15 Points
5th : 14 Points
6th : 13 Points
7th : 12 Points
8th : 10 Points
9th : 8 Points
10th : 7 Points
11th : 6 Points
12th : 4 Points
13th : 3 Points
14th : 2 Points
15th : 1 Point

And there will be give'n points for winning the qual and the best lap in race:

Winning the qual: 2 Points
Race 1: 1 Point for the best lap (5 Laps minime)
Race 2: 1 Point for the best lap (30 Laps future)
The maximum points you can get each race date:
Winning qual: 2 Points
Winning Race 1: 20 Points (minime)
Best lap in race 1: 1 Point
Winning Race 2: 20 Points (Future)
Best lap in race 2: 1 Point.

44 Points all in all each race date!

UF1 hmm.. UFRC is doing the Summer Slam which is very similar.

That's kinda true, but I'm not sure when I'm going to start this. Since I'm going to Florida for 3 weeks soon and so I have karting and work all summer so it migth be maybe after summer maybe.

Wait a minute, you chose some of the longest tracks in LFS and ppl must drive 30 laps in them with UF1000 along with 40% restriction? Are you kidding me?

For Example.

1 lap on Aston Historic (AS4) lasts with UF1000 about 3 min 40 seconds.
[[Lets add the restriction and the engine wont move ]] So it should take over 4 minutes to get a lap around the track.

30 laps * lets say exactly 4 minutes. = 120 minutes which is 2 hours.

Are you sure that you want to have restricted UF1 running 2 hours around some track?

In your schedule is only 2 good combos i see that are short enough for these cars to keep drivers interest. They are AS2r and KY1r.

You really could fall asleep while racing some of the races here.

I suggest you man that you'd change your Schedule, otherwise people wont sign up.

Restricted UF1 round KY1R for a whole day, what else can someone want? I'm INNN!!

If no restriction was in place i would join. Sry. Uf1 is slow enough without it.

I'd like to join pure UF1 league as I've always enjoyed the close racing those cars present.. but you should really think those combos again And restriction?? As kamo said the car is slow enough already. Slow tracks like AS1 or all SO/FE tracks are just fine imho.

But at the moment this is just on ice coz i'm going away for 3weeks in a few days..

i am with Tukko and Kamo on this one, the car is slow as it is plus you put 40% restriction on it then you want to go around the longest track in lfs with 85MPH top speed.

It's just snooze village for there on because you will be doing sub 3min lap so with a race of 30laps it will take you about 2 hours todo that race.

Suggestions so the drivers won't fall asleep:
- throw out the restriction
- short, twisty circuits (BL1, SO1/3, FE1/5/6, AS1, Autocross)
- more, but shorter races (4x8 instead of 1x30 laps for example)

Then this could be fun.

Yup it makes no sense to drive a car around with 27 HP.

But this thread made me thinking how would it be if i try to make a car like my dads 25 year old Ford Sierra.

So I tried 50% restriction on XRG (54 HP, don't know how much our Sierra has, but it's somewhere around this) and gearing something like a real thing with soft suspension etc and it's quite fun to drive such a slow RWD car with kinda real setup around.

Maybe you should make a league like that :P

27bhp more like 40bhp.

UF1 with 40% restriction are 30 hp at 5113 rpm. Makes about 120 kph/75 mph on the Drag Strip...
