Quote from Nathan_French_14 :It may be big, but it really is a fantastic car to drive. I think it could be a good car for the BTCC if it was ever introduced.

wouldnt qualify for Super 2000 or the new rules, has to be 5 door to qualify for super 2000 and has to be at least 4.4metres long for the new rules.
Oh, cant say i know much about BTCC and its rules/regs. 'Tis fantastic to watch though.

As ugly as it is the Mini clubman would then qualify right?

Either way the rules suck..

interesting idea, 2 doors on right side, 1 on left and 2 rear doors equals five in total. i suspect that would only count as a 4 door but if it didn't whats to stop a company making a mad car where a 2 door shell has the drivers door modified to open like the RX8's doors and for the passenger door to also have a gull wing element? that would be 5 doors in a 2 door shell

Now that is just silly.. I thought it was a normal 5 door. I doubt that BMW would redesign the chassis to compete. But they may I don't know how involved BMW is.. With factory teams etc..
Quote from trebor901 :the mini of today doesnt deserve to be called a Mini, its too big and fat

+1, now you said it all. If the mini appears in BTCC, it has to be the classic one (would be cool if BTCC had a classic car class, but I'm just dreaming).
But well, BMW can bring the FATTI Cooper S if they want to do so, the bigger the grid the better variety of cars there are (not really in some cases, tho).
Lol at the Clubman, it looks like a frog
