all i need is t purchase some CDs and ill do that
Im on XP but im assuming the following is also true with vista...

That any CD of vista will work, as the product key is tied to the computer it is used on, and not the CD itself, and your product key should be on a sticker on your PC case somewhere.

So if you know anybody at all who has vista on a CD, just use that, and your product key should work with it.
ok ill so that one i buy some dvd's (for burning)
Easy, don't start wiping your PC or anything yet, as im not 100% sure that it WILL work the same with vista, i would wait for a more PC knowledgeable person to confirm wheather it does or not.
im going to get the procces hacker screen up in a bit first

Oh, also forgot run a "Hijack this" log thing if you can.

E: am loooking at your screenie btw..

Tbh that looks clean.. unless you have an infection of one of the core windows processes such as svchost or something
Interesting! lol you have the same virus'es as I have basically you are fully infected with Trojan/Onlinegames.xo.cd.fd etc etc

and badly infected also with Trojanvundo

I have those same error messages pop up upon my startup all i do everyday is run a hijack this log block out the unwanted .dlls and Scout the Registry and delete them from there ive been doing this for like 5 months and no visable problems my pc is shit anyway so i probs havent noticed

Are you able to see hidden folders? if not try too select it from View folder options if it wont let you you have been bugged like me lol

@s14 drift they dont show up int taskmanager and process but they will in the Hijack this log
i have a problem, which has been happening on and off for a while now. we refer to it as "the blue screen", and it's never happened while we've been on the computer, we just mosey past and realise "the blue screen" has struck again. it hasn't happened for a while now *clutches his wooden chair*, but when it happens next, i'll take a photo and hope you can tell me what it means!
What does the computer say when you try to run Explorer.exe? or does it just not show?... Try and watch for it in Process Hacker when u run to see if it shows at all....

Oli, There will be a log of the crash in Control Panel - Administration Tools - Event Viewer... Probably in the system logs.. Just look for a red mark beside the event and post the info....

@Foilpact, there are quite a few so i don't really want the wrong one diagnosed, i'll just wait till it happens again and then let you know, thanks for the help so far
there will be ones specifically for bluescreens.. Look what the event says... Its usually marked as "Bugcheck" for BSOD's...

sort by date n check the latest one...

The ones marked Red are quite bad problems and you shouldnt have many anyways, when did you last format and reinstall windows?

Mine does this from time to time, i just stick the windoze cd in and do an installation repair when it does.

Once the disk is in the drive, the PC should try and boot from the CD already, but if not just go into bios and change the boot order around so it tries to boot from the CD rom drive first.

Once it has started reading from the CD just follow the options and repair it, you shouldnt lose any of your files either, well, i didnt anyway.

This always fixes it for me for a good few months, but my pc is totally knackered and old and really needs putting in the bin TBH .
