Pit lane realism.
Surely if the chat said "Duke_toaster has entered the pitlane" and "Duke_toaster has left the pit lane", that would stop a lot of people not seeing eachother when coming out of the pits, causing accidents. Leagues use PI/PO.

Secondly, banning joining races. Let them spectate, and then they join the next one.

Thirdly, entering the garage. Make you DRIVE IN to the garage and press (say) handbrake to go to the garage to tweak your setups.

Also, customisable pit lane speed limits (not for hotlap mode), so you drive short ovals with the 30 (?) mph pit lane limit.

As for the old respawn button, make you respawn in the pits, with a FULL tank of fuel, COLD tyres and a 5 second penalty. And, you lose the lap. Penalises by a hell of a lot and also only let it be used once.

I wouldn't like seing "Duke_toaster left the pitlane". Leave it as it is.

Why a 5 second penalty on top of that lost lap, and full tank?

IMO, the driver leaving the pits should check his mirrors and his surroundings before pulling out onto the main track so as not to interrupt the racing lines of any cars doing high speeds.

I agree. There's really no reason to spam everyone with "so and so is leaving the pits". It should be the responsibility of the person entering the track to do so safely.

Afraid I disagree with everypoint you made
I agree I wouldn't like getting spammed by people leaving the pits, the noobs should just watch how they come on the track, like real racing. They should also watch how they let the leaders by during a race. Nobody is perfect but the blue flag is there for a reason...
Quote :the noobs should just watch how they come on the track

Definately the wrong word to use. Of course there is some debate over whethers "noobs" refers to "newbs" or is a derogatory term for more experienced players acting like a "newb".

None-the-less the problem with people rejoining the track into traffic is not a newb problem. Neither is the blue flag issue. Newb problems are things like not knowing you can press shift-S, not voting to restart, and thinking it's ok to take SO Classic chicane in 1st gear whilst they learn.

Rejoining the track into traffic (whether pits or accident), blue flags, spamming messages - these are all idiot related problems, and nothing at all to do with a players experience
I too disagree with everything.

Everything seems fine, it just comes up to who is exiting the pits.
