well im on 7100 so i still have to next year but i just want to know will a vista recovery cd take off windows 7 or am i going to have to get a legit copy and reinstall it??

If you have a collection of things which you've been saving for a long time (photos, music, F1 videos etc) and it would take a long time (months/years) to replace or it would be irreplaceable then I would definitely call that important. Everything that's really important to me is backed up at least once to offline backup, even though that cost me quite a bit of money. It's just worth it, IMO.

And yes, ive collected my stuff for pretty long time so i dont want to lose it and it would be kinda impossible to replace that stuff i got.

That's exactly why you should have backed it up a long time ago.
