work is pitching out a dell 15" LCD monitor, and i'm gonna take it home (they must think it's broken)... i'm hoping they'll throw another one out soon (they usually do), but i was wondering about screen layouts for a triple-head setup.

with two 15's on each side, and another screen in the middle (maybe widescreen), would this be a viable triple-head setup? do i need to go bigger? would i be confined to having to use a third 15" in the middle?

i'm not sure what card i would use to power the other two monitors, but i'm sure i could find a nvidia PCI card with dual outputs somewhere (leaving my 6600gt to render the center screen).

Your main card will do all the rendering. Any config of monitors is possible but different sides are slightly more complicated to set up.
