Been Practicing. Have a Question.
I was wondering if there's a way (or a mod of some sort) to bookmark a place at the track. For example if I was doing a hotlap and I messed up a corner and don't want to restart, is there a way to rewind (lack of a better word) to just before the corner, so I would get a chance to try it again right away. Now I see how some people can misuse this feature (if it exists) to obtain lap records, but I'm sure there would be a way to detect that the feature was used, hence the hotlap obsolete. This would really help me at practicing.

Thanks in advance.
Been playing GRID?

You can't do that in LFS. You'll have to start "all over".

I'm just really frustrated on how I can't get decent lap times any more on Blackwood with the FXG. I keep getting 38's. I used to easily get 35's in patch X. My PB is 1:34.60, I'm not saying that this is a great time, but you could get some competition on servers. So I've been practicing a lot lap after lap, but sometimes I just want to repeat a certain corner without doing a lap over again.

Other than that do you know of a thread or a write-up to guide you on how to overcome the changes in Blackwood. Now, I know that with practice I should be able to do it, but a write-up would definitely help.

Thanks
A "replay sector" feature would be a useful addition for practice sessions as I tend to find it's only one particular sector I lose the most time on, eg, Blackwood - sector 2.

Was that offline as your LFSworld stats state your PB as - 1:40.500?

It's totally uinrealistic and it's not a nice feature imo.

Hmmm, we're talking about a "practice" feature here, what's the problem?

If you want to be pedantic about "unrealistic" features - what about being able to press CTRL-P during the race to magically teleport to the pits.

What we are discussing here is simply a facility in practice to focus on a particular section of a track.

Or are you soooo hardcore that you believe the "simulation" should constrain all modes of LFS?

you can just make a layout with a starting point before a corner and then you can restart the race multiple times and practise that corners multiple times...
If you dont want to put the laps in you could always try doing a half decent hot lap then upload it to LFSW. You can then analyse your sector 2 against someone else who is quicker using the Hotlap analyser.

Touche.
Just drive the whole track, how hard can it be.. You probably need the practice there anyway.
<constructive advice>

LFSworld doesn't seem to contain any of my lap times from 06 and 07. That's when I used to go online a lot.

Get yourself back online mate, it's no fun racing the AI
I attached a replay from 07 with my PB, if somebody can manage to view it. As it is in patch X I think...

No need to do that, I never doubted you I was just curious

Regarding getting frustrated about lap times - I've been low 1.35's on BL in XFG for a while now and can't crack the 1.34 bracket - even though on servers which tell you your theoretical PB, my best 3 sectors total 1:34.70.

Just can't string them together - it's soooo frustrating

Make sure you don`t use the same setup from patch X(renamed).. because it will need readjustments.
A lot has changed from then, physics wise, maybe it just doesn`t click anymore..You have to readjust too.
