First and foremost Hello to Everybody.
I am using an old logitech wingman formula force wheel i find it works perfectly in any other driving games i play, but for some reason i cant in this game seem to be able to set up the controls so i can use the foot pedals to accelerate or brake. Is this because the game only supports button control when using the steering wheel or am i in fact doing something wrong when trying to set up my wheel. If i am in fact doing something wrong is it possible for some kind person to try and explain it very simply to me. It would be much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Hello wildhawke11,

First of all, your specific wheel and the pedals "should" be working in LFS, as many players are using it.

In LFS, take a look under Options->Controls->wheel / js (at the top of the screen)-> Axes / FF (next to Button 1 and Button 2 in the middle of the screen). Can you tell us if you see green bars moving on the right while pushing the pedals? You then can assign any from the "available axes" to any function LFS provides: steering, throttle ,handbrake, etc.

Regards,

nazzard
I am not a techie but I have the Logitech Wingman FF wheel and it works OK. I am sure you have got or will get plenty of help to resolve the matter
Thanks
Vanirl and Nazzard.
Thanks gentlemen.
I spent about 3 hours today trying to sort it out but to no avail. It was driving me mad

So after a having a couple of beers with my son (yes it was only a couple i tried again) YES ITS WORKING i feel such a fool, it was something so simple. I needed to put my throttle and brake control on combined.
They say as you get older the brain cells start to go guess in my case this is correct as i am in fact 67 years of age but inside still feel about 21.

By the way Nazard i to was born in Dublin but i have lived in England since i was seven years of age. So i dont really know much about Dublin and the old country. Now if you want to talk boxing i am your man

Once again Thanks Lads

Combined axes will work, but you can get it to work better.

Read again, the advice given.. it will enable you to get your pedals working properly rather than just adequately

If you go into the setup of the Wingman profiler, you should be able to switch your pedals to 'seperate'. I think it's a checkbox to untick actually.
Then change your ingame setting to 'seperate' and you'll be off and running.
Glad to hear all is well and even more so that you are a Dub.

Have fun and drive fair
I can as i said now play the game using the combined throttle / brake.
But in spite of going into my logitech global device settings and removing the tick in the report combined pedals box. I am still having no luck with this one. Yes, i have in the game controls itself put the throttle / brake control on separate. But it seems the only axis that it keeps going to for both brake and throttle is the Y one. No matter what i do it favours the Y axis and only that all the time.

Lucky enough i at least have my steering wheel right and at least can play the game using the combined pedals. But its so weird how i cant get it right so i can use separate axis control. Can you tell me is there any disadvantage to using combined pedals in the game please.
Again Thank You All.

I'm in the same situation since my controller (RC-style pistol grip "wheel") only has one combined axis by design. Basically separate axes are only useful when you want to do manual throttle blips while downshifting or if you're left foot braking in a turbo car to keep the boost up.
Thanks much appreciated
Danny
