Heres a pass i did a couple of months back i thought id share, three_jump might remember this one, hes was the 3rd car iirc

Start of the race, i was in 4th and was following three_jump, went to the inside and it was packed, so i decided to do something a little more dangerous

Passo I saw some darker textures on LFS DB, I suppose you could just adjust them in PS and see what you think.

A friend send me the textures, I can send you too when I found the good .dds

But there is a bad thing, road textures change sometimes lol.

in theory drifting is faster than grip, because if you do it efficiently there is less turning angle, and also your tires are pushing toward where you want to go directly, instead of messsing with inertia, and rotating.

And to the "drifting is faster" narbs, its not, the only reason it was then was because all the group was packed to the inside and the lead guy although he was fast was pretty cautious round the first corner. Drifting like that will never be faster, having a little entry slide is better but you can't race like that, only hotlap. In this vid everything was perfect for me to do it, i don't think id get a pass like that again, thats why i shared and i hope most of you liked it.

Maybe the drifting would be faster only on a very narrow road with a very bad car - I mean it would be faster for the specific car to try to go a little sideways than to go the regular way.

Nice pass, it's actually a good thing for overtaking. Remember Nolan "BigTime" Scott in H2H series, when he passed someone by sideways in his LX? You are not faster, but you can actually get in a front of him so that he will be kind of blocked.

if the drift is not at too much of an angle, then it is faster i think...it is better to have a gradual turn compared to a sharp sudden...so if you grip raced a 90 degree turn like this L it would not be faster then if you drifted it (if you did it right) so depends on the turn, and if its a deep angle drift, or a little bit of slide drift, like the vid.
