How is MGS4 a movie?

How many movies do you have an controller scheme, where you need a variety of buttons along with modifiers.

Just because it's a deep game with a proper story (Unlike anything on the Xbox), doesn't make it a "movie".

Hmm yup, annoyingly you're right.

No.

I'm simply never wrong.

It's ignorant to think otherwise.

Although having watched MGS4 playthrough on Youtube (Yes someone recorded it and I watched all 13 hours of it or something) and can testify it does make a damn good movie.
Quote from JJ72 :with 360 games being cheaper.

Where did you pull that info from? From where i order them (shopto) multiplatforms cost the same, while often PS3 exclusives are cheaper then those on xbox..

And most PS3 games actually come down in price after 6 months to a year while they're still good. The only exception to this seems to be: Cross Platform games (some, not all), or that ****ing COD series. (COD 4 and COD5 are the same damn price, ****ing thieves).

From my local shops.
Quote from Homeless_Drunk :I really loathe that debate....anyone who plays that debate is a fanboy. It cost me $400 for my console and the ability to use Live. I have more HD space than the comparably priced PS3, I have all the same games as PS3 (except for exclusives, that goes both ways). I have a better online experience than PS3, one that keeps mateuring (last.fm, netflix, twitter, facebook, community games, ect). My games tend to have sharper and more vibrant textures, this is due to PS3's lack of graphic processing power (Cell CPU is not a GPU).

They are 2 different consoles. I own both. I have played the same games on both consoles...it stuck me as odd that PS3 textures usually look more blurry and washed out compared to 360. If you poke around the web you can find comparisons confirming this too. I find PSN to be pretty poor compared to Live (you get what you pay for?) and Home is a joke. I like my PS3 but I like my 360 better because of the online community and ease of hopping into games with friends.

GT5 vs LFS is really a non-debate. I think GT5 vs Forza 3 is more reasonable. I used to love the GT series but after playing Forza 2 I was converted. The physics, damage, and sounds of Forza 2 blew me away. It seems Polyphony loves their eye candy because it sells. They never really talk about the 'sim side' only how pretty the game is.

Recently in an interview Turn-10 said, "The game [Forza 3] delivers these astonishing realistic graphics while calculating physics at 360 times per a second." That's impressive for a lil console, imo. Cars in GT5 can't even roll over, I'd say that's a big hole in the physics.

*Cough*redringofdeath*cough*
*cough*choke* ... i would say that gt5 is going t have its things for the ps3 and FM3 will have its stuff for the xbox...
I think

FM2 > GT5P

and probably

FM3 > GT5

but as far as the features and quality of the consoles

PS3 > XBOX360
lol @ LBP "not a game"
Right, let's get back on-topic. Physics.

GT5 (and I'm assuming the physics aren't going to change between Prologue and the full version) feels a lot more like LFS from the driving point of view. What is commonly referred to as the "driving on glass effect" is way more apparent. Obviously that means GT5 is designed for use with a wheel. Turn all the aids off and you find yourself (or at least I find myself running wide and underbraking. The cars still behave like you'd expect though, with the characteristics of the car letting you know which wheels are doing the driving.

You can't roll the cars at all, and while Forza 2 feels like it wants to let the physics work and corrects at the last minute, GT5 doesn't even let you get close to the point of no return. I guess it corrects the z-axis as you go, so it never looks unnatural when you don't flip. But the tracks are designed in such a way that you rarely have the opportunity to get the car into that situation. There's only one track in GT5P with enough elevation changes and bumps that let you test the flip factor.

Again, to use Forza as the comparison, it has stealth driving aids even with everything off, I assume to compensate for the shortcomings of a joypad over a wheel. GT5 doesn't feel like it does. When everything's off, your controls need to be really precise with tiny movements to keep the car friendly. My LFS/joypad experience tells me that's pretty much the same here. It's not quite indentical, because obviously GT5 has native pad support, but it's pretty close.

I had to rewrite this entire thing because I'd written a FM2/GT5 comparison the first time and had to correct a load of stuff so let me know if there's anything that doesn't make sense
