Parcels should be automatically insured. Even regular First Class mail is insured to the value of £200.

And yes, I've been having no issues with HDNL so far. But then we only really have ParcelForce as the comparison, so maybe anything would've been better. All couriers will have plenty of hate if you go looking for it. I don't understand how it can be so difficult to take a box to an address and hand it to a person.
