The Benchmark Thread
Elow, i was thinking that this thread may be fun

Didnt find any other good benchmarking thread so i made one. Half week ago i got my new HD4870 wich made me want to do some benchmarks - with my old card, i tryed once but when i started the test and saw how it performs, i did ALT+F4 and uninstalled it. Now im good with my new card. Anyways, the first benchmark i downloaded was FurMark wich is amazingly good benchmark. Its so small and it really does what it has to do.

For example, do FurMark test and post your score. Its only few megabytes and quite easy to make it work. When doing the benchmark, make sure that you publish it - its very easy, just enter youre email and name after the test. Download it here.

This is my score. In fact, at first when i did my benchmark then i saw one nVidia GTX270 or GTX275 (dont remember wich it was or something) and it had smaller score than my HD4870. But as ive heard - GTX275 (or that card) beats HD4870. And he had quad core processor with 3ghz+ clock.

Is this some kind of a e-penis competition?

Yes, its almost the same thing as people look who has the bigger engine

Its cus i have the original single slot cooling.

I think furmark doesn't like my pc for some reason. I score higher in 3Dmark than systems that beat me in Furmark.

My HD4870 has stock cooling too and its factory clocked. Anyways, im not sure but HD4850 may be with 65nm processing. If so, then that may be the problem. My HD4870 is 55nm

80 degrees is nothing, i used to get 110 on both my 4850's with the stock coolers.
Now with a new pair they are 30-64 degrees (idle-full load). and that is with max overclock possible in the CCC.
Temps also vary alot with the airflow of the case. My haf932 took like 10 degrees of the cards compared to my centurion 5.
