Round 5 - Pre-Qualification Info/Chat
Prequalification for Round 5 begins tonight - Wednesday 22nd July at 1900 UTC (2000 UK, 2100 CEST), and closes at the same time on Saturday 1st August.

We invite all registered drivers to join the server and set a qualification time. The top 32 will qualify for the event, times will decide the grid for the first race.

Live Timing is available here - http://www.conceptracing.net/ufrc/timing/timing.asp

Server to be used is 'CR|Quali Server', password remains the same.

Any issues please post in this thread.
I won't be at R5 because I will either be on holiday or preparing to leave to go on holiday very early the next morning

I won't be at R5 because I will already be on holiday. [pwnt Ellis :P]
I believe the password isn't working...
Why's everybody on holyday... grr... well... I'll be there... Quiet a nice combo but haven't been racing it since "ZWR UFOC"-times
It's working now.
Never raced there before... should be fun.
I'm not quite sure if I'll make it, but I'll do the qualification anyways and hope, I'll be back from the mountain-celebration-swiss-national-holiday-hangover in time.

I have to get home from the drinking-location which translates into ~1 hour of hiking, 2 hours of train-voyage and another 15 minutes of walking. So depending on the time it takes me to realize, I should be heading home, I might make it - or not
hm...
I was first on the tracker and now i'm where?

Since you don't appear in any of the pre-qualification results, drive a lap with the correct name format.

Just checked via remote, you used the wrong name format.
Hm... too bad, i had really good time ( 1st of course ) so does it mean that that time is lost?
No, just use the correct name next time you are on the server.
Well, that's nice... Thanks'

Quote from SamH :I desperately need a new machine. I started off the line with 6fps but beginning lap 2, I dropped to about 1fps, [..] I gotta get a h/ware boost from somewhere, urgently.

My Celeron has finally been replaced by an AMD64 4200+ dual core. I'm back in the game! I know there's not much of the season left but, looking at the scoreboard, it's entirely possible for me to NOT finish last

Great News

Decent points to be had in the season finale also.
This seems to be a hard track to get right first time

Also on the timing page, could we get split two added? Mr Reintjan

MR. Adam,
your request is done
Let's hope we won't see some hilarious crashes, like in the Easter Event

I guess it depends on how desperate drivers get and go diving up the middle of someone in the chicane

I believe us Concept did quite well in that hehe, so we should be ok

"To finish first, first you must finish."

In the qualifyijng, I expect people to abuse the kerbs attempting to get the best time they can.

When it comes to the races however, I do expect people to show a bit more caution.
Airborne cars not only end their own race but can quite easily take out half the field, I would prefer not to see a repeat of the Kyoto incident gentlemen
Earlier today, I was notified that some drivers may have been intentionally removing tyres so that other drivers could take advantage of a clearer path.

This was possible due to the layout not being properly tested by myself. The layout has since been changed to prevent this, and should not have any impact on laptimes.

Those involved admitted when asked, but stated that it was only testing purposes.

The actual qualification laps of the drivers involved have been proven to be clean.
Because of this, no further action is necessary.

Drivers involved, and those bringing it to my attention will remain anonymous.
