when i go to open lfs.exe i get the run as admin box then a lfs.exe has stopped responding box. as far as i know nothing changed from when it was working to when it quit and it hasn't worked for 2 weeks or so now. vista 64 bit, i7,6 gigs of ram ,gtx 295, zalman 850 power supply.

i was hoping to be able to put that off till 7 comes out and do a fresh install then

.. You don't need to put anything off, just download the game from a website, and put it in a random folder and run it, and if it runs.. then just drag and drop.

The Windows 7 RTC is already being installed onto new laptops etc, MS have given the green light for DVDs to be pressed. so you could get the latest download free version as its very close to the finished product. you will get around 10 months free usage and will be able to purchase it online should you decide to keep it

W7 does a good job of installing all the drivers you need including all the mobo drivers etc, and will allow you to install on a seperate partition/HDD and create a bootloader so you can choose to boot into W7 or your vista as is everytime you restart the PC.

EDIT: from another thread I read the gotspeed has already tried a new "install" of LFS.

yea tried didn't work. i am getting 7 just waiting for it to come out and don't have time to install the rc atm with school and other stuff going on.

sorry but thats not the problem very first post says
"If I click on another application's window, sometimes it works normally but often it also locks up. lfs locks up every single time.
