G25 center problem
I have a pretty big problem with my newly aquired Logitech G25. I have installed the drivers and calibrated it and it works like a charm with all games. Except Live for Speed. I can drive and it does not pull in any direction, the shifter works perfectly and the steering feel is crisp and nice. Now to the problem.

When I am driving on a straightaway or just standing still and let go of the wheel, it goes crazy. It starts to rock back and forth quickly like I was driving on some really bad bumps. It does this even when standing still with the engine off. When I am standing still and it is doing this, it also steers to the right all by itself. This cannot be fixed by just holding the wheel, I can feel it twitching and vibrating.

It does NOT make me go off the road as it steers from left to right just as much and very quickly, keeping me in a straight but slightly retarded looking line.

What might be the problem? LFS is my favourite game and this is ruining the G25 experience for me!

OK I searched and found a thread on how to set up the Logitech Profiler. This improved it a lot but it still does this if I let go of the wheel suddenly...
This is because the G25 uses stepper motors just like most other FFB wheels, so there is a step on either side of the center possition and it bounces between them trying to center the wheel.

You will probably notice a "dead spot" in the center of the wheel too, where some force feed back sometimes has no effect on the actual wheel.

force feedback might be up too high.
103% in control panel/profiler and 25%-35% (depending on the car) ingame.
