I don't think it's as clear a joke as you think. Not for Renault, but Autosport magazine have been pretty convinced for a few weeks now that Loeb will at the very least drive at Abu Dhabi with Torro Rosso - if only for that one race publicity boost for Red Bull

Who cares about his face when his brain was in jeopardy, but the truth is, he seems a bit slow, sure he can speak english, but I think this crash will seriously affect him when he goes back to the car to drive.
I imagine he's still a bit drugged at this point, so I wouldn't worry about it quite yet. Good to see him talking, though - that first picture of him after being pulled out of the car really made me feel terrible for the guy .
