Strange seeing those pages again. That was my homepage for a long time.
I hope LFS gets some serious updates that not only inspire a lot of guys to come back to it, but inspire someone to come up with some sort of CTRA replacement.
In my opinion LR is the new CTRA. Sure it's has not a fancy site and such, but everything you need is to be found within the insim on the server. You can watch rank, stats and basically the same things as what CTRA did.
Even my stats are still on xD
Omg, really shamefull :O
Walter Lemmens, from Netherlands, has competed in 41 races and driven 87 laps since the launch of the CTRA X-System. In this time, he has caused 200 yellow flags, which is a ratio of 100%. This is a seriously high yellow flag ratio indeed.
Walter has won 0 races and reached the podium, in second or third place, a further 0 times in 41 races, while retiring from an additional 38 races. This means Walter has completed a very worrying 7% of the races in which he's participated. During those races, Walter has achieved no fastest laps. Walter, who races for Team Rock Racing, is currently ranked 4,272nd internationally and 157th in Netherlands. He does not currently hold any lap records.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yann Laprevotte, from France, has competed in 1,138 races and driven 7,049 laps since the launch of the CTRA X-System. In this time, he has caused 927 yellow flags, which is a ratio of 13%. This is nicely below the CTRA's average yellow flags ratio.
Yann has won 153 races and reached the podium, in second or third place, a further 423 times in 1,138 races, while retiring from an additional 175 races. This means Yann has completed a comfortable 84% of the races in which he's participated. During those races, Yann has achieved 69 fastest laps. Yann is currently ranked 293rd internationally and 12th in France. Yann currently holds 1 Lap Record.
I think nearly everyone wishes it would be back again. It was one of the reason i stopped racing. However knowing the logistical (for lack of a better word) nightmares of running the CTRA and the fall out afterwards, it doesn't suprise me it failed and I don't expect it back up.
People are a lot of work, and when you have to take care of xx xxx users the amount of work needed to be done is simply.. too much..
Well, if they did it as a full-time job it would be possible, but they have lifes themself to take care of. We canot expect them to be running a service 24/7
LR racing server. Should be a topic on it on front page of General LFS Discussion part of forum
Has ranking system, and a forum where you can report people and such. Have about 10+ min races and is using most of the track combo's.
people who really want to race, have found their alternatives.
Sad to see some people are still moaning about not having CTRA around, and want to have it back. It was great, and now it's gone, get over it.
Agree with you, there are a lot of great servers out there now.
Sure, the CTRA was great and had something unique, but there are still great servers around, often crowed with people too
@ Fuse5: I don't think anyone grudges the fact that CTRA has gone. I don't know anyone that isn't 'over it' but doesn't mean we don't want something that was brilliant back again.
@ Zeugnimod: I said something along those lines. I didn't really have time for leagues and CTRA gave me that competitive side of a league but while being pick up and play. Going back to pick up and play races kept me entertained for a while but i did get bored of it eventually. However it wasn't only this that led to me leacing lfs alone but the other reasons don't need to get mentioned.
No i dont wonder , fyi this has nothing to do with redline . Its just me making an observation , getting a rise out of an idiot like you on a boring afternoon
