Quote from trebor901 :Well with 5+ people sitting out Knockhill the end of this season could be very low on numbers.

Who are the 5+ drivers and why are they sitting out? (bar Thommo)
Johnny Herbert!? i know he used to be quick, but Le Mans is endurance & lets face it he's no spring chicken. No offence but i doubt he'll be mixing it up front.

All these drivers dropping out, jeez i could do with a drive , which team shall i approach first?

RML they seem to have countless number's of Lacetti's available lol
Thommo is in at Knockhill, but that'll be his last. The 3 events after that are when Herbert will take his place.

Only 3 are sitting out Knockhill - Adam Jones, James Nash and Martyn Bell.
Quote from BlueFlame :Sounds good, Herbert is definately a likeable guy. He was really good in Sauber in 1997, and his win with Benetton was fantastic it's a shame that the Stewart plagued him with bad results

He had a couple of wins with Benetton (British and Italian Grands Prix in 1995) and one with Stewart (European / Nurburgring Grand Prix 1999). Not really disagreeing with the sentiment of your post, just correcting figures.

You haven't really corrected anything :P I meant Herberts win at Silverstone as the standalone one, I knew he'd won more than once, as for the Stewart win which I also knew of, I just said he was plagued with bad results (which he was)

I think some teams sit Knockhill out for budget reasons. Happens every year. All the haggis bribes and whatnot. They usually return after Knockhill to compete in the rest of the races.

Must be to do with the distance aswell I imagine.
Indeed. That's what I was inferring but I pretty much screwed it up.

Well, I suppose I just stated the obvious, a long distance drive does incur more costs, so it was a bit obvious for me to say it.

Plato is On pole Gonna be a exciting race tommorow.
Shedden will have Plato by the end of lap 1, Shedden is the Knockhill master.
Depending on Shedden will approach Plato at the start.. I Think there might be a bit of contact involved

And have you seen how good plato is down at knockhill?

Jason Plato won 2 races in 2001 , 1 race in 2004, 1 race in 2006 and 2 races in 2008.
But Shedden has managed to put a Leon that is probably very down on power compared to the Chevrolet's and BMW's on 2nd
Will be interesting for sure, tight circuit and I expect there'll be a bit of paint swapping!
Heading down tomorrow well leaving in a few hours tbh... should really be catching some Z's :P so ill report back here when i get home
Jealous! Although we get replays watching on the tele Have fun and take a couple of pics.
BTCC is awesome but why only 14 or so cars?
Quote from iMCk. :BTCC is awesome but why only 14 or so cars?

There's been at least 22 for most of the season, but a few are sitting out this round so there's only 18. Still a good number compared to recent years.

He used to be an instructor there. When I went there for a Formula First experience thingy he was my instructor. He definitely knows his way around the place.

Wow Rob Collard is an idiot.

Oh and now Neal hits him... what goes around comes around.
Yeh we were thinking the exact same thing.. first he knocked Turkington off, then he pushed Jackson off the track on a straight. Neal couldn't have chosen a better person to take with him. Have to say we let out a little cheer when we realised he hit Collard!
I've seen cleaner racing at the bangers at Arena Essex.
Great drive by Gio, there was some great action in the middle of the pack in that race too. Fabrizio's reaction to the taste of his drink at the end of his post-race interview was hilarious!
Nyahahah, Collard got some of what he was dishing out Well driven by Giovanardi.
