LFSCART Light Winter Series 2010 Pit stop procedure
Hi, I openend this poll just to see how you see this issue:

The pitstop procedure as stated by the rules say R1 & R2 usage madatory. It seemed to be that it did not work out how expected during the inofficial test race NDR FOX Jamaica 130.

Actually there are these three options:

1st option would be like in the FOX Jamaica 130. À la Formula One and/or Indy Car Series (originaly it comes from Champ Car World Series) with both compounds to be used.
2nd option would be like in LFSCART, just one tyre changed, and no compulsory compound change
3rd option would be like the rolemodel of this series, like in Firestone Indy Lights or Formula 3. Just flat out races without any pit action.
I like Option 2, Come in and change tires but no compound change. Thats what i would like to see
Option 1 for me, I'd like to see some strategy involved in this series, that'd be damn interresting to see some people having R1s for their first stint, some having them for their second stit, and the rest doing 2 stops. With SCs sometimes coming to make the thing more difficult.

But you have a compulsory pitstop where you can either change tyres (meaning compound or just the same again) or not

With the rules stating the R1's on ovals only and on normal races 1/2 only I think this is good enough. I do not think that you have to use BOTH types in the race.

You have to stop - but it's up to you whether or not you have to change tyres - therefore meaning 'stratagies' and 'driver tire saving ability' comes into it - otherwise everyone is doing the same thing - and then there is no benefit for either extra practice, setup sessions or good old fashioned racing luck
