Everyone appears to lag
Client version: Z15
Server version: Z15
Problem: All cars on track lag, nothing on track or map is updated. Latency (green) bar appears normal, player it's happening to does not get disconnected.
Reproduce steps: unknown
Workaround: manually disconnect
OS: Vista 32-bit Home Premium
Internets: 5 Mbit cable, connected wirelessly to router with 802.11g

Description: I was on LR|Race Center 1 (with Airio 2.3.3 I think), racing when all other cars disappeared, only the lag count (Lag (#.##)) showed for all cars. Pitting, spectating and even changing of track did not fix the problem. I had to reconnect to the server to see other cars. This is an extremely rare event, in fact I think it's only happened to me once before, a long time ago.

The problem is that other racers are invisible, appearing to lag, but nobody gets disconnected. In this case, since disconnection seems to be necessary to solve this problem, it should be automatic when working properly (imo).

Thats strange...

Dived into the AIRIO.logfile but saw nothing about anybody lags in there. Normaly the drivers would send to spectate after the 4th so called "lagcount".
But there´s nothing special to see...

I had that happening too back when I was on wireless, I guess it has something to do with some random packet loss and LFS not picking up the new position packets after that, check that your connection is really good, if not try to improve the signal. Never got rid of it until I finally switched back to wired connection again. Sadly you can have an almost perfect signal and still get some packet loss from time to time, wireless is just not the right thing for picky systems like this.
I've had this issue with certain port numbers when running servers.

To solve it client side, simply press Ctrl+T and request location packets via TCP.

Changing the port or ensuring the firewall is setup correctly on the server should resolve the issue!
Aye, sounds like wireless packet loss. Wireless can act screwy if someone in your area has recently turned on a router that shares the same channel ID or has the same wireless SSID. Many people just turn their router on, and don't change the SSID, which for many netgear users, can be problematic!

Whenever I've had issues like this, I change my SSID and channel ID, and it normally sorts it out.
