What originally was planned as a test race only ended in a "little motor racing history".
Not only the participation and interest in this new race series STAR RACE was great - great as well the presented performance of all participating teams and racers.
Although, it has to mentioned, some favorites (for example Phil Rose, the defending LTCC champion) were missing on the virtual asphalt this race...
The first eight racers were only seperated by two tenth of a second, also noteworthy that Sven Plutta came very close to the actual world record with his qualification time of 58:36 seconds this day. A time no one else would beat. Unfortunately, this pole position brought the young RACE STAR Team racer little luck during this race. Unfortunately he had an accident in the first lap already but still managed a very good fifth position at the race end.
The observing RACE STAR Team Supervisor was happy to see the process of his second driver in his team, Sascha Schwer as he could finish his race in second position. Quiet and focused, he raced lap by lap and convinced by his solid driving. Impressive the Danish Racing Team: Team Leader Rudi Kolz managed consistently fast laps and secured in his first appearance in LTCC the fastest race lap, a 58:77 secs. Race winner Sebastian Fischer, TDRT, no one was able to pass this day. By racing consistently fast laps, he was after the mandatory pit stop was no longer to stop. Swedish TDRT M.Svensson finished sixth position.
Last on the podium in third position in this high quality race was Dennis Wieke from Error Racing. He as well managed an error free race.
