There is a clock in every car (i think, im demo) what shows the current time. If there will dynamic timechanging it could be with the clock (sorry for my anti-english). I want to say, if there is evening in the clock, there can be evening in the game too! what do you think of it?
Well, it would be more correct, but that means the clock is ticking away, so the day must turn into night. And I like that little clock, so I can see what time it actually is, because I tend to forget about it when driving. I don't think it's such a good idea, except for the night racing of course
Sounds cool, but such a feature would present problems in multiplayer. Players on different timezones around the world would be driving under completely different lighting conditions in the same race.
Imagine a player in Europe racing an Australian player, one of them would be driving in the dark and the other one in daylight Wouldn't be very fair I think...
I use the clock too when I am racing to watch the time so I don't stay up too late, I would not like this, sorry.
For now i dont think this is a good idea, but if we ever get different racing conditions like night racing then it could be a good idea. Although as said would cause problems as people would race udner different conditions.
So maybe the clock in car is the same as the clock on your computer but the day/night is set by the server time.
eg -If server is in uk then runs gmt time so day and night would be to the gmt times

Or just imagine if it was possible to have every track being synchronized with their respective timezones, as the LFS tracks are located all over the world.
Ex: If you are playing on the daytime in Europe and you join a server running on Fern Bay (Jamaica) the race would be at night because it would be nightime in Jamaica IRL Anyone following?

now that's a good idea, but we probably won't see this until S3, or when S2 reaches "final" stage
That does sound good in theory...for the road cars

It wouldn't work to well for the single-seaters though as they don't have lights!

That would be a solution for overcrowded S-S servers or "all cars" servers. And get more people to race road cars.
I was thinking about this myself, and doing it based on the server's time sounds like the most reasonable solution if implemented.

EDIT:Hell, find some way to link to weather bug in S3 and let us have snow and rain conditions. S3 though, because no way could this be implemented right now. :P

Most of them would be UK. Also, where is Autocross? I think it is near south city. Also, it says on one of the buildings "University of Kent".
Bad idea. I only have time to drive in the evening after dinner. I don't want to get stuck driving all my races at night.

If it were an option, then it would be okay. But until we actually have working day/night cycles it doesn't really matter.

Now there's a point... Single-seater races at night isn't very realistic anyway is it? I didn't think about that when I last posted.

Besides, night-time races would probable make LFS more system-intensive. Which would be a shame as I love being able to play it on the crappy comp at my parents' house whenever I'm there for the weekend But as the game evolves towards S3 it'll most likely become more system intensive anyway, I guess

Or the host could just choose which conditions they want the race to be in... But i do like what you're getting at!

That's probably the best solution. Keeping it simple
