At least it looks pretty good. Some new cars have this "futuristic" look to them which I personally don't like, but this one I like, it looks nice, just like a sports car should look like.

I like it, but not as much as I thought I would. The back end tail pipes look, off for some reason. I'm a huge McLaren fan boy, and I'm not sure about the looks of the car. Let's just hope it preforms something like it's bigger brothers.

I don't like it at all. It looks odd to me, and old, like it came from the late 90s (which is old as far as design is concerned).

I'd much rather have a Gallardo, F430, or 1958 250 Testarossa.

Uh, It's looks like mixure of Porche,Lotus and Ferrari. Overall it dosen't look bad.

It should be though, all british specialist supercars looks a bit generic in some way.

The point is it is going to be very very very fast.

Some elements from the front remind me of an R8, which is a bad thing.

Doesn't even come close tho the previous model IMO (regarding looks). Looks just as boring as all modern cars. But i guess it'll be super fast.

Thank god they didn't decide to go for the stupid "snout" design that new supercars all seem to be jumping on.

I agree with the general consensus, it's a bit underwhelming, a bit, meh.


On a slightly related note, perhaps we could/should have a single thread for new car releases. I found some new pics of that Maserati drop-top but did'nt really want to bump the thread after the op got a bit of a telling off. Also, yet more real world pics of the new Rolls Royce have been surfacing recently, and i wanted to post them aswell. So, perhaps someone could start a new "New Car" thread, and if some kind hearted (or extremely bored) Mod fancies droping all these extraneous car threads in there, that'd be great.

They just need to sort out the front end, the front intake makes it look like its pulling a silly face. The headlights and rounded front end look a bit Lotus Evora to me (not a bad thing), I wouldn't be suprised if Lotus were involved in this.

Looks don't say anything about how exciting a car is to drive. I'd still take the F1 tho.

This car looks like it´s been modeled on an Ascari KZ1, a Ferrari F430 and maybe some tiny bits of Porsche 911.

Wow...... Certainly wasn't expecting to see that from Mclaren.

Well it is a McLaren after all. Only they should of used more references for the interior as well, the current one looks like some gaming controller designed by Saitek.

Not a huge fan of the looks or the name. Side profile looks good but front looks generic and rear is just ugly. What's up with rearlights, they're trying to bring back the 80?

It might not look that nice but you have to admit, very impressive numbers and new methods at least that I've seen...and at the end of the day its a supercar which generally means its trying to be as fast as possible so I wouldn't really expect it to look anything other than functional.

The design is dead boring. F1 and SLR were way more attractive cars.

What you're describing is a racecar. Supercars need to be desirable, have something else than just high performance figures.
