I think the only "bad" move of that race was Gio on Jackson
im goin to Brands aswell still trying to decide where abouts will be a good place to stand, we stood at Druids for the first round of this year but with it being GP track i wanna see the big screen
Plato should not of dived in so late like he did, causing a needless accident.
I would call that 'a bad move', was happy to see him get a puncture for his over zealous attempt.

Otherwise a great race, BTCC back on form .
if he'd have just waited he would have probably passed Turkington anyway and then been in contention for the title still
That race 3 was simply stunning! I watched open-mouthed at that lap of action with Herbert. Now, he was rough, but it was just brilliant touring car raicng. Probably the best moment of the season so far!
so just before race 3 the interview with tom chilton JORDAN APPEARED ON TV AHHH I SAW HIM HE RANG ME
i liked Tom Chilton's "Then Plato being Plato tried to ram off the whole world"

Also for anyone going to Brands Hatch they've got rid of the Pit Straight grandstand and the one on the run up to druids so now its just Paddock hill which is now at a rip off price of £14 per person in advance and £20 on the day.
I think they're only temporary stands up for the summer anyway aren't they?
no they've been there since the middle of 2005 and Brands said they were permanent and now they've taken them away.
They hardly get used much anyway, only the few larger events.
Is it deffinately the GP circuit this year, just i noticed lats couple of years the race has been advertised as GP circuit(BTCC.net) but when it comes it's on the indy
last year was the first time it was advertised as GP but on Indy because Brands Hatch messed up with the amount of times they're allowed to use the GP loop
Ahh, so why they only alowed to use it so many times, like croft?? houses around the GP circuit or something to do with noise?
Wow that was nuts lol.

Yeah people's back gardens are virtually right next to the track.
Gio not a happy bunny: http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=1692

Seems a bit unfair, Herbert maybe hit Gio a couple of times, but lightly, and Gio wacked herbert a couple of times too.

To me Herbert played one of the best roles in that race. You don't see Turkington winging about Jason's P.I.T manouvre.

you can bet your damn ass if turkington got spun 180 he woulda blasted plato.

but now i watch it again plato actually does the right thing and turn right to put turkington back in line.. he coulda easily spun him and went left around him leaving him backwards
If Gio can't outrun Herbert, then does he deserve to take the championship off Turkington?

Someone needs to break it to him that he does actually have to race the whole field regardless of the championship.

And he has no right to be complaining about rough driving, given his own antics over the years, and in that very same race.
Personally I think Gio's whack on Jackson was a mistake, just looked like he braked too late and had no other option, but I could well be wrong.
what are you on about if he cant out run Herbert? its a bit hard when Herbert was steering into him and making stupid amounts of contact. And i agree with the fact that the Jackson accident was a mistake, i would say Gio was concentrating more on his mirrors that what was in front of him
lol herbert touched gio once..

worse thing was when gio divebombed and SMASHED not touched but SMASHED into herbert.
Yeh coming into the last chicane Gio was a couple of car lengths back, Herbert had already turned in and Gio used him as a brake. Can't tell me that was Herbert's fault.

If Gio dosen't like contact then he should stop hitting people himself. He used Herbert as a brake entering the first part of the chicane, then left him no room for the 2nd part, that is probrably where the damage to Gio's car occured.

Sometimes I wonder why these guys even bother racing, they get upset if everybody dosen't move out their way. Everyone enters a race with the goal of winning or finishing as high as possible, so why shouldn't they try? Anyone who enters a race has every right to race any other driver so long as they are on the same lap, regardless of championship position.

Giovanardi obviously thinks he is above all that, how dare someone else actually try to race him! Or perhaps hes trying to compensate for his poor performance in that race.
To be fair, that statement from Gio was probably made just after he got out of the car, or half an hour later.

I bet nearly everyone here has, at some point in the past, finished an LFS league race and jumped on the forums to have a good old bitch and moan. Myself included!

Don't judge Gio for being pissed off; he had a good position on a plate and had it ruined through some contact. But yes, if you're going to give out bumps, you have to expect some in return!
