it looks a bit rfactor-y and I mean that when people drift most cars, opposite lock seems more risky than it will do good. Might be the age old issue of grip dropping off post peak..
Ok, I got a strange problem here....I can´t load my profile anymore... If I go into my profile, it shows my career Audi R8 but it tells me start a new career. So I´m starting the career again and try to choose a new car but it tells me I´ve no car slot.... awsome
Would someone explain to me how it's possible to roll a race spec Lotus Elise just by sliding in a turn? I got a bit sideways and my car nearly rolled, landed back on my wheels and proceeded to bounce around like a ****ing kangaroo for half an hour before the car sorted itself out. I would have been angry if a 4x4 with an elephant on the roof had that much body roll, let alone a car low enough to damage my shins with its spoiler.
Added some pictures, and before you ask this race requires you to perform 10 corner slides to get the bonus star, hence the sliding.
Try stiffening ARBs and rebound. There's some weird bugs with handling but setup options seem to work pretty well to fix some of those issues.
Tuning seems to work fairly well in general, I bought Merc for tier-3 races and it really needed some differential adjustments to make it driveable. It's really twitchy by default, especially under braking. Pretty nice car though, has some DTM feel to it.
Is anyone getting this issue where before the race starts, the car girl's hair is rainbow colored or something, and then when the race starts, the game crashes?
I'm really starting to hate the PC version of this game.
I will give that a try, I'm slowly making the cars a bit more driveable by tweaking the controller settings and tuning options. The most annoying part is the indestructable AI cars, they are like tanks, you need to ram one full speed to even unsettle it, yet they tap you and you're spun out or flipped.
Setting both damper fast rebound rates to max stiff will reduce the bouncing problem. Note, the settings will end up one click left of max stiff due to another game bug where maximum values are stepped back one click when you leave the tuning menu.
Ran into a wall of frustration lately after going tier 3, really wants a qualifying system so I don't have to start lower-midpack every race, on that tokyo track smaller than my living room, with 500ps suicidial maniacs all around me!
Hah, reminds me of all the online bugs you used to get in GPL.
I think Shift has probrably been rushed out a little sooner than it was ready to, probrably to beat Forza 3 and GT5, rather rough round the edges then but I'm sure they'll get it ironed out.
