Acting on the advice on my friend i deleted the old LFS and downloaded the updated demo - big help that was because now i need the skins from the previous version - so if someone can send them to me it would be appreciated or tell me how to get them.

if your talking about S1, the skins dont work anymore

old as in S2 demo - i just asked him if theres any tricks to the patch and he said delete all of LFS and download the new one - so i did and of course no skins for the previous version

uh.. well, theres nothing you can do, you shouldnt have deleted LFS, the patches are meant to .. add .. on without having to do anything else, so i have no idea why he said to do that

Now call me stupid, but if you didnt think that deleting LFS would clear the skins, then what did you think would happen? I know thats possibly a little harsh, but still....

The method for patching is to download the smaller zip files, unzip over the top and then run LFS.
If you had a really old version the only method is to download the whole thing over again (as it seems you did).

If you're lucky, you'll find the skins in skins_x and skins, within the recycle bin. There are other ways to retreive "deleted" items, but its a bit of a pain in the arse to do, and isnt even guaranteed to work.

i didnt know it was JUST a patch - as i went to download game and did everything the same way as i did went i downloaded it before. can someone at least link me to the demo so i can download it again
