Was anyone able to sync the G25 with the in-game wheel?
I mean, I feel de G25 quite well configured, no input lag, no dead zones, etc... but no matters how much I turn, the in-game wheel turns just like 90º max
It feels really odd to turn the wheel and seeing the game doing almost nothing
In 'Adjust Control' my settings, which seemed to get rid of this problem, are...
0
0
0
0
50
50
50
50
0 <-- speed sensitive steering
10
30% <-- Turning Lock
Off
Normal
I then alter the steering ratio in Tuning until I'm happy with the over/understeer (this will also depend what your Logitech windows settings are I suspect).
At first I had real trouble with that visual wheel lag, but now it's no longer a concern. Some people seem to have more trouble than others getting it dialled out though. Fingers crossed you won't be one of them. :-)
I'd recommend running 16xAF. That's what I always select for every game I have on my computer (if it doesn't allow AF16x, I force it on the drivers), and it doesn't affect performance at all, but gives a huge quality gain in displaying textures, specially at longer range.
I didn't have time to take pics of all of my cars, but my Garage spaces are all gone, my cars are tuned to the correct ratings (just below/same as 4.00, 10.00 etc, two of each type!) and I have almost £2m. I need garage spaces fast!
ok, well I wasn't keen on trying those mods that were released a couple of days ago. But thought what the hell I can always replace the old files, although I do have to say ... Wow
Now that is some improvement on the original files from the game. The cars feel more realisic atleast, as for the blur adjustment so far i've gone with the lighter version and not turned it fully off. In my opinion I do like the small amount of blur you get and once you have all the racing info turned off it looks great.
So I went ahead a tried the evo first off and found that pretty good, still had the overall 4wd grip but had understeer moments that put me off track or into the barriers.
Since I do love my S2k I really want to give it a blast around the Nordschliefe, and first off people who have driven this car with Stage3 upgrades know how crazy this car is in the normal game. But YIKES it's like a monster now with the mod, I love the wheelspin you get all the way to 4th.
So while driving I found that the game is much better for drifting without having to be in the stupid *Drift mode* drift events. It's very much controllable without being just plain stupid, oh look the car has locked into a drift without me doing much.
Tobias Kluge has released a new mod for Need for Speed Shift, getting rid of the fictional trackside objects that spoiled Shift’s tracks for many sim racers.
The mod will enable gearbox, engine and tire damage for enhanched realism. Furthermore, sharp objects will now play a part on car impacts and tires can fall off.
I am registered there, but I typed my password 5 times incorrect (forget there is a 'forgot your password' option :shy. So in 15 minuten I'll download it and put it on my website, or pass it to Shadowww.
