Bumper Cars ?
Hello, last week i downloaded LFS demo and i really enjoy this game,i'm also new to this "realistic racing games" genr but still i really enjoy the game,i am playing it on mouse and keyboard, because i still don't have racing wheel, but i am going to buy a G25 for christmas or my birthday,so few days ago i went online for the first time,i really expected to see a serious players,i mean this is hardcore simulation, but no i came across people who bump in to each other all the time,so on every freaking server people bump in to each other
For example:15 min ago i played online,i started race on sixth place, than i got on fifth place, from there i took over some dude and i was forth, but he bumped in to me,i mean wtf, play fair and nice...
My question is,is this like licence version of game, are people bumping in to each other or are people playing fair ???
The problem with the demo is it's anonymous. Anybody can register as many accounts as they like, and drive however they like online with no repercussions. Whereas in the licensed servers, you have one account, which means you tend to try and drive someway responsibly. That, and those that pay for a license generally have some sort of interest in sim racing, and find the actual racing part to be more fun and challenging than wrecking as many others as possible

Long story short, S2 servers are significantly cleaner than demo servers, but there are of course exceptions
Welcome to the world of online racing where some people will bump you in fairness, some will bump quite badly and against all good fair play, and some people will simply grind you into the barrier...

Bumpiness varies from server to server, get used to some contact and if it gets messy, a new race is usually only a few laps away...

S2 is clean unless u go to Destruction Derby, for the most part. There are a ton of hardcore race servers on S2.
There is little to none of that nonsense in S2 racing servers, since if someone does it and they get banned, it's their MONEY on the line. They're not anonymous as well, so it's their reputation if they ever want to join a league or team. Overall, it's much more professional on S1 and S2 servers.
Demo server crashers
Can I recommend you try out Redline Racing servers 1 and 2. Although you will still see crashers at certain times there are usually admins/track marshals around to remove the bad drivers. Server 1 is a straight 5 lap race with no mid race join. Server 2 is a 10 lap race with a mandatory pit stop required and no mid race join.

+1

I race there(try to?)a lot on demo...Good race
today i crashed in to someone not on purpose and i he immediately started voting " kick marčiii" ...i even apologized few times
Oh yes, the press 1 thing....

People tend to act like sheep when this happens and just press 1 to vote yes without even knowing what happened, i have had it happen to me, and im sure it will again.

I even had it happen when i avoided an accident, yes, i put myself into the wall to avoid someone who just stopped dead for no reason, and as i clipped him while steering into the wall he started a voteban against me calling me a crasher and a noob, when all i did was pretty much avoid him instead of totalling him in the middle of the track!

Sadly, all it takes is one person to start a voteban and saying ban the crasher in the chat, and people automatically believe that person and just vote.

Dont worry though, votebans only last one day anyway.
