its just a thought and I dont care if anyone diasagress

Should be in the Improvement Suggestions forum.

As ever, the problem with that is that you've finished changing gear by the time the animation would even reach the shifter as it can't predict when you're going to change gear.

TDU compensates by reaching down when it thinks you're going to change, which can look weird as it's often wrong and reaches down for no reason. Other times when you shift and it's not expecting it, it doesn't move at all.

Personally I'd prefer it not to be there at all as it will always look unnatural, but I'm sure others would disagree with me

I'm not understanding the importance of all of these minor things every patch fixes. 99% of the time they never had an influence on the quality of the game.
30 test patches, very nit picky and pointless - skip to the real updates.

Sorry, post seems crude, but I doubt i'm alone in what i say. Please understand.

that's your problem
you don't have to download/test them ,just wait for the finished patch

now scawen can tackle one problem at the time an progress quicker

Quote from JasonJ :Oh so you prefer all the major updates are released nao and your game goes to a black screen when you open it?
Sounds like fun.

My definition of now seems to be completely different from yours. I understand that working on this game isn't easy, at all. I'm also unaware if it's just the three core devs working on it or multiple parties.
Either way, i'm in no position to completely complain. But I am in position to give feedback as a player in this community.

Based from what i've seen in the past years with LFS, development is an extremely long process. I don't even expect new tracks to release unless they are gapped years apart from each other.

-Tire physics are coming (hopefully noticeable results)
-New track is coming
-New car is coming (hopefully)

Those are all positive outcomes of a 6 year development process.
Hopefully the gap between time/product shortens as the months roll by.

-This is not a flame.
-This is a comment contributing feedback based on observation
-Respond with a bit of respect plz, we're all playing the same game here, let's make it worth our time

*edit*
=)
Keep the damn whining away from this topic.

This a feedback thread. Keep up with the pace and read each post.

Also; Today there seemed to be a problem with the throttle actually working for all the drivers on Aston- Cadet rev, T1. Drivers would go to the turn and complain that their throttle would drop off, and continue as normal soon after. Anyone got anything?
Quote from MrPDR :This a feedback thread.

No,it's a test patch thread, the title says it all.
You can report things going wrong about the test patches and nothing more.
Your thoughts,if constructive, should be posted elsewhere.
No prob

Man, don't be like that, for the sake of this topic.
If you ain't got anything worth mention, do not mention it at all.
If we don't get these, as you call them "pointless" patches, you end up with NFS:Shift for PC. Sure it looks pretty but the physics are busted to hell...

These small updates are so that when a big update DOES come around, all the foundations for it are strong, and LFS can continue to be the high quality production it always has been.

/end rant.

:iagree:

Thats the whole point of test patches, to test them, and if there are bugs then there will be more test patches to overcome these bugs, plus i would guess that the coding in the test patches we are recieving now have many adjustments (as opposed to original patch Z) which we can't see yet that are needed in order to incorporate things like the new tyre model into LFS.

You can't re-write major components of the sim such as a tyre model or maybe even the damage system and drop it into the existing game without adjusting anything else and expect it to work, coz it just won't.
next patch please
What about adding an odometer in all road cars, like in RAC?

Then I noticed that ABS and TCS don't work below a certain speed (in TCS you can adjust that speed), while in real cars usually these systems can work even at really low speeds (4-5 Km/h). Cold you adjust these values for both systems?

Yes, read each post, even that one where Scawen himself said NOT to make him waste time with useless posts like yours.
lol, jeez, I said no probs meaning I understand. Continue with the topic
Time for a new patch :P
Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Time for a new patch :P

When time is ready
But as we wait for the big one, it's good with all these little patches too. They might not look that much of a change if you look on them as soli additions, but overall they do make a change. It's all those little things that makes out the big one
Not complaining, im happy with the progress made this past week. But theres been 0 real bug reports so just saying we should move on but i doubt what i say will make scawen release a new one Just felt like saying it.
Nothing wrong with saying that, but I think the thing that slows them down now is the car/track additions, aka Eric
No offence to him, and it's a good amount of work to do, but I think that's where it slows down atm.
Inouva is a man.

Btw, Thanks for the commands Degats

Ohh come on, enough of these nonsenses, better work on physics and other important things, we can live without these little improvements

Agreed.

But this shows good signs that the new physics is near.
Quote from iFastLT :Ohh come on, enough of these nonsenses, better work on physics and other important things, we can live without these little improvements

I think he is, but using this thread for small fixes/improvements and adding new features for testing on all other systems. Also finding bugs alot faster and easier.

We can live without those stupid posts aswell.
