1. Left forearm, chinese symbol. I was 16 and a little drunk, forgot what it means. (can anyone read it and translate?)

3. Left upper arm, girlfriends name (kirsty) and a rose.
4. Right upper arm, Banger racing tat.
I know that most, if not all of them need re-colouring and some work doing on them in general, but im skint, so it will have to wait lol.

I'd stay far away from it until you've made up your mind.
You'll find that once you decide what you want you will know where it's going to go, the advice I give time and time again (and I think I did in this thread some time ago before it resurfaced) is to want it for quite a while before you get it done.
Supposedly they are. I had 1 and stopped there, i've wanted a second for a long time, but i've not decided on what I want for long enough to go and get it done (although i've gone through lots of phases of thinking I knew).
I'll admit it, its the second most annoying pain ever. Worst was a broken rib. Hurts when you breath, bad!
meh, i've had 20 odd broken ribs (the same 5 repeatedly broken in pairs or 3's), that's just part of the parcel when you're a karter. The pain isn't too bad because i'm so used to it, but it does interfere with the noctornal life.
I rate the most annoying physical pain as back pain, when I was young I did an injury to my back that left me in constant agony for 6 years until 1 day it just clicked (Looking back I wondered if I had a dislocated disc and the doctor misdiagnosed it because I wasnt screaming enough), then intermittant pain for the next 3 years. All that was for running backwards into a post whilst out playing... I meen, if it was a motor racing injury it would have been worth it!
That injury actually did quite a lot of shaping of my personality and tolerance for pain, I was told I would have that pain for life so I just got on with things and even carried on doing sports. Little did I know that it would one day just magically fix itself.
So for me getting tattoo'd did not hurt at all, it was quite a pleasant tickling sensation - however the place that I was done is far from the worst.
Toothache and/or earache, worst pain ever.
My tattoo on my calf was fine, just felt like being scratched. Very simple design though so it only took 15 or 20 minutes 
And as for the location... visible when I'm wearing shorts and covered up when wearing jeans, works for me. For me it's not all about showing it off to others 24-7 so I don't mind it being covered up some of the time. It's not to make a statement about how cool I am so I don't need the reassurance of people seeing it and commenting on it all the time.

I still hit like a girl though. A very puny girl to be precise. I could do a meen suffocation by hugging people to submission though! I already have Victor terrified of it.This fact (you not being tattooed) surprises me.
I will say this; they are addicting. I've got three in mind to get done, just need the money (and two I'm not 100% on location, yet). Piercings... I've only got my ears done (only a 0 gauge, too).

Is anyone here experienced or really good at designing tattoos? Im after my next tattoo, to cover my whole right chest, up to my sholder blade, done the sleve and the top right of my back.

My suggestion to you is to get something that means something to you. You may like certian things now, but 20, 30, 50 years down the track even your going to look at yourself in the mirror with the tattoo and think why did i get this? WHY?!?!?
When you get something that has a message or a meaning, youll never regret it, the only thing you can regret about it is where you put it, but never the tattoo, because you will know where it came from.

Dont rush it, because they are great! Better then peircings and anything else. You dont want somtehing then think, you can get rid of it simply like a peircing. Research, look around, see what you like, see whats nice and whats for you.
