lag question
hi,
when cars in front of me lag, they first simply disappear, then reappear somewhere further. also, and that's the really annoying thing, they somehow go in a direction where the driver isn't really going.
example: the car goes straight, disappears, then reappears somewhere to the right. now this is all unpredictable and sometimes reason for an accident.

is there a way to at least get rid of the false route?

i guess i describe that really shitty, but hopefully someone understands.

thanks for any replies.
When there´s somebody who knows how to get rid of this kind of lag, this person will be never forget in the esport community
All internet evils derive from running p2p or being infected because of p2p.

Poor quality connections such as modems and some wireless routers can also cause lag in LFS.

very true about the causes, but i hope devs will someday use the AI engine to drive when there are more than 100ms between packets for cars nearby...that will greeatly smooth things imho
i see. thx for the info.

...and i was hoping for some setting in the options... amateur

lag is when there is no info on the car, what should lfs do? it doesnt knwo what they are gonna do so it just takes them right off the circuit!
Instead of taking the lagging car off the track, it might be nice to see an almost transparent replica of the car (with the same lag counter above it) drive on an AI raceline. The car's position would still not be precise, but it would give a much better idea than the current method.

I have a problem too that I suppose to be related to lag issues. When watching a race by the external view, or even inside the cockpit watching cars that are close to me, the front of the other cars starts moving nervously, right-left, left-right, even on straights. Is it lag, graphical problems, bug in the game or what? Any solution for this?
