F1's 'For Sure' World Championship goes down to the wire..
That's right, you all thought the F1 season was over and there was nothing left to fight for at Abu Dhabi - not so! The Official Formula One For Sure World Championship is very much alive and kicking..

"Sitting in the Thursday press conference alongside team mate Rubens Barrichello and Red bull's Sebastian Vettel, Jenson dominated proceedings - refusing to allow anybody else to utter 'for sure' - and claiming all nine 'for sure's' for himself. That alone was enough to take him from third place in to second, within striking distance of Vitantonio Liuzzi.

However, the appearance of a third driver from Ferrari in the Friday conference scuppered the Brawn strategy, as Felipe Massa took full advantage of the unexpected conditions to do just enough to stay ahead of the Briton."

for sure that has to be a BS story.
:V

I get it.
Button's only where he is because Bernie decided to let the Brawn Team to continue using the term 'Fo Sho,' if the FIA and World English Court had interpreted the slang regulations differently Hamilton or Räikkönen would be leading.

If Michael Schumacher got away with using "for sure" so many times, why not Button? Why are you trying to interpret the regulations inconsistently for different drivers? You're as biased as Alan Donelley!
Am I missing something, I follow formula 1, but not that in depth. What is this "for sure" they are talking about. Can somebody fill me in?
For sure Button has won, you aren't looking at average positions in a F1 season too.
The FS/Ev rating is therefore useless.

Yeah, for sure!

because there was nothing wrong with it.. all regular Compliant.

Good Luck to Liuzzi. He got it all packed up and just needs to be heard. Just 1 and he got that Title in no time.
the only reason this is at all exceiting this far into the season is because the wont allow team managers to compete
if they did domenicali would have won the championship in barcelona

It's the tendency for a lot of F1 drivers (managers too) to prefix a sentence with the phrase, "for sure" during interviews. Example: "For sure, I would have liked to win, but there was nothing more I could do".

I think it started with Michael Schumacher. It's particularly rampant within Ferrari.
Oh lol

as far as i know mansell was the first to become (in)famous for using it though once again there is a ferrari link. it's most prelevant in drivers who don't speak english as a first language, hence why mansell used it a lot
(sorry couldn't resist that bit)
i would of thought alonso would be a bit higher up for sure.
If someone says "nothing's for sure", does it count for a "for sure"?
Quote from hyntty :For sure!

For sure that's for sure

Mansell didn't speak English, he spoke a wierd dialect.
Massa would've dominated it for sure if they hadn't stopped him.
