My idea is the Diesel to LFS.....
Diesel improvements....Less RMP....more Power....
I think the Diesel vs. Petrol more intresting to the game...because i think the first game with diesel cars....

I posted about it before, there is a thread here somewhere.

As for first game with diesel, nope, GT4 has a BMW 120D

Yes, i was thinking of that too! I like the 120D.

Its a good idea, but i doubt very much it would get used.

As long as the engine-characteristics are wisely used to show a contrast to other cars I'm all for it. I just don't need a petrol-feel-alike with just fewer rpm.

Hell while they're at it how hard could it be to offer a choice of power plants, each with its own characteristics...

It would be nice to race against the XFG and XRG with a diesel engined XFG, something like the engine from a Skoda Fabia vRS.

That would be great... would it be hard to do?

Its something you can do with LFSTweak, so its not difficult, how difficult it would be to implement in LFS "for real" who knows, but it would be a blast to drive, and something no other PC race sim has......

I was actually thinking that too but i know the sound of a diesel is not appealing to most people but it would be nice to have it realistic... Is there any way to change the sound for those people who want to backup the original sound for future reverts??
