Yesterday i was on a rallycross server and, for fun i tryied to race with Fxr.
At start seemed a bit hard, but after a pair of heavy changes on setup screen, it became much much more faster, and a lot more funny (bl rallycross pb with fxr: 1.03.18). The main problem is only turning on the grass, because slick tyres lose a lot of grip on sideways on grass.

Now, remembering that there is a need of rally race cars (not regular 4wd) in lfs, i was thinking that an Fxr, a bit modified on the car model and maybe with an engine with a bit modified bhp/torque would be a perfect rally car.
And for not leaving this class alone, making another rb4 with a more rally race car look would be a good idea too.
Imho both these 4WD cars should have 4Valves turbo engines, and the difference should be that Fx rally car would be a bit heavier, more power full, but with less torque then Rb rally car.

About the name, was thinking at FX+X from wrX for example and RB+X.
And because there are some rallycross tracks called RallyX

So FXX and RBX imho would be the best acronims for these cars.
And it create a new X class, that rappresent rally cars like R class rappresent GTR cars (FXR, FZR, etc...)

I think recycling of the standard 'old' models should be stopped. If we have a proper rally car someday I really would like to see a new car made from scratch, something like a group-b car or something more modern. Not nesessary WRC, but if someone has any connections anywhere related to WRCs, well...

No. The RB4 is great.

Also, a XFG and UF1 rallycar, as super 1600s would be nice.

As for rallycross layouts, I think someone said about the possibility of 4 more Blackwood RX layouts with little to no modelling to be done.

Yes, RB4 is great no doubt, but making a RB4GTR-ZQWRC with putting new bodykit on it would just ruin it. And FWD rallycars just arent fun.

And a few more rally tracks would be really nice, RallyX, BL3 and the other rally track from FE aren't that .. arr dunno the word in english xD

I have seen screen renders and it seems a track race car, not a rally car.
RBX should be different from the GTR kind of car.

Have you seen how low the XFR is and the UFR for that matter ? Just wait and see what the rally pack (if it comes) has in store for us.

After S2 Final, the devs have talked about it, but nothing is for shure

But will be more a "Rally pack" or a "Rallycross pack" ?
Rally in the WRC format does not seems to fit well for multiplayer races.

And this pack will be free for S2 licence owners or will be a semi-separate product?

I think it would be awesome if they made some sweet point to point tracks that actually appeared to be normal trails and streets like they use in actual rallies. Everyone could start at once and see ghosts of other drivers, or just have a bar that shows you and the other cars as dots that move further towards the end of the bar as they get closer to the finish. In addition, when you go through 'gates' it would show you how far behind the leader you are.
That would rock.
And yah, I would loooove to see an impreza/citroen/lancer rip off in the game, as well as some more exciting and longer rally tracks that are all dirt/gravel/snow/ice.
Imagine hanging that front inside tire out over the edge of a cliff as you drift around a turn to shave off seconds... and then the result of tumbling off the edge of a cliff on the final corner of the rally when you were way out front.

well, i like the original idea. lfs definately needs cars like that.

yep, the ufr and the xfr are already perfect rallycross cars. just give them more rideheight and rx tyres. they would be perfect division 1a/2 cars.
